Say what you want about where his attention is, etc. Removed as a Raptor fan, his impact is something most of us could only dream about. His vision and drive are incredible.

As a Raptors fan, if Chomche ends up developing and it comes out that he angled his way to the Raptors because of Masai's influence - it starts to really become interesting.

It wasn’t discussed much but we really took a huge hit when the age limit wasn’t lowered. What other team has as much reach to scout African high schoolers.

Firmly cemented as #2 on GROAT list.

1. Tanenbaum
2. Masai
3. Lowry

I remember years ago when there was chatter of some teams wanting the ability to have affiliated "academy/jr teams" the Raptors were one of the teams really interested.

It's ok, we just need to find more 18yos whose birthdays are 48 hours before the cutoff

If we're going role player list, JYD would be up there, sure, but you got the wrong Williams up top, Alvin would be ahead of Jerome. :)

He took his hand off the wheel and Bobby drove us into an iceberg imo. I think he’s still got it in him but doesn’t have the time to really manage the team like he used to.

Yeah, agreed.. but his tenure was to short to crack Top 3. But massive philosophical impact in a short period of time.. and catalyst to bringing back Masai to replace Colangelo.

Huge doubt. MLSE isn’t paying him a top salary to do Giants of Africa work. He does that in his spare time.

For all the flack that we've given the FO over these last few seasons, when you see Masai talk about how he doesn't wear any championship paraphernalia including the championship ring, watch any videos about the run to the title or even talk about or look at the Larry OB in the OVO center and that he won't do so until he's won a second one, I don't know how you can't hope that he sticks around to get it done.

I don't get the hate Masai gets. He's won us a championship in Canada, that was never suppose to happen.
