Usually when no salary is reported that means it’s a min contract. If that’s the case then ouch for Trent.

That said, this is actually a solid move for MIL. Trent can provide the spacing that Beasley did but Trent is actually playable in the playoffs as he’s not one of the worst defenders in the league (like Beasley).

Unless the Bucks are somehow moving off of some money, Gary Trent just signed for the veterans minimum.

so much for that 2023 Summer of his..amazing how he got devaluated, total regression ..Losing him for nothing ,2 summers ago ,would have been imaginable and would have caused major UNREST around here

2 summers ago he still had some potential. Tough to increase your trade or market value when you make zero improvements over 3 seasons (and actually regress on defense).

I actually think he'll do okay enough on the Bucks esp. with an established star in Giannis; he'll get open looks all day and just needs to play within his role. I wouldn't be surprised if another team takes a gamble on him next offseason for like 2+ year contract if he shows up

If he was going to go somewhere to rehab his value MIL is the best place. He’s going to get more open looks playing with Dame and Giannis. The issue of course is that we just saw what that did for Beasley and it wasn’t a whole lot (he only got a 1 year $6m deal).

Could be a good fit for them. If he can hit open shots off the drive and kick, then its a good value pickup

Less crowded free agency
