Was hoping he could become more after the 2021 season. Oh well.

Was hoping for more but he had some good moments. In the end, won't be overly remembered.

Good character, just not a starter and streaky to be the 6th man.
Nurse did him a favour in making him looks like a good player, but he failed to realize and capitalize.
And it is rather sad that we had to play him a starter, while simply he is not that level (Nurse said we only has 3 starter level player, probably implies to Siakam, VanVleet and Anunoby back then).

I wonder if he will ever make a contested layup in his career.

We lost betting on his potential. He never got close to Norm's level of impact. Meh, win some lose some.

He tried and it didn't workout. Good luck, I think he'll do good with Bucks.

We'll see if his best is what is yet to come. Can't say we didn't hardly know him. He bet on this year and lost some cash. was always fun to see the fashion. I wish him the best. Just don't hit those jumpers vs us, GTJ.

Liked him dating back to his Portland days, but not sad to see him go.

He needed to make more of a name for himself on the defensive end and/or playmaking to not get devalued by the league, when more mid-sized guards who can shoot get drafted every year. Like JaKobe, hopefully.

I was pretty upset that we aggressively drove Norm out of town for Gary, and maybe unfairly held it against Gary. When he was on a heater earlier in his stint with us, it seemed like we might have won the trade. He fell off quite a bit since then. His plantar fasciitis also clearly hampered his ability. That said, Norm hasn't exactly been a world-beater since he left, so everything about that deal has become a bit of a wash. We unfortunately didn't flip him for anything either. But I'd rather he walk than pay him with no clear role.

I hope he rediscovers some joy in Milwaukee and can parlay that into a decent deal with a team in the future. He seemed like a pro during his time here.

If we are being honest he looked like a good player on Portland. He stood out. He was the return for Norm. That was a hard act to follow. I like what we've done and this a weird offseason for contracts with Boucher making the same as Chris Paul and Gary making Temple cash. Free agency is killing the nba. Too many max deals then cap and tax crunches. Overpays galore. The Raps are obviously working hard to retain Vezenkov as affordable value shooting. Koloko is in Vegas to network. With Chomche and Carlson just do not see a crack in the door for Koloko. The Knicks should pounce.

Thanks for being professional and didn’t complain at all like being benched, coaches being hard on you on defense, etc.

It was definitely worth the risk IMO, can't fault the FO for it. Keeping norm wouldn't have altered the trajectory of the team anyways, low risk, medium reward.

He'll be spoken of in the same hallowed breaths as TJ Ford and Joey Graham.

Definitely not seeing the athleticism to defend at a starter role even back on Portland, so no to me. And I always say I prefer Powell over him, and we ended up needing the skill set of Powell instead of Trent, where Powell is cheaper (maybe that was his home town discount).

I just don't see this is due to max deals, it is more teams are not valuing him, and to me he was never a starter quality (again Nurse said the same thing).

Healthy TJ was good. Joey twins were useless. Gary was not a bad starter but ball had to go to Scottie and Paskal. So... unfinished product and business. Schroder got paid again after his big contract oops haircut so there is hope Gary can at least Schroder his way around the league. This is not the new CBA as Schroder got burned this way under the old one. Rich Paul has some splainin to do. Gary drops him for sure.

Wish him nothing but the best. He was great under Nurse and that’s the GTJ that the Bucks will be hoping to get. He’s a team player that accepted his roles.
