How Happy Are You With The Offseason Thus Far?

We're in mid-march with the roster practically being finalized for training camp. How happy are with you what the Raptors have done this offseason?

Personally, I was hoping for a good free agent addition if we were going to let Trent walk for nothing. Then I was also hoping for a good Bruce Brown trade from a team desparate to shed long term salary where we could obtain a potential good 5th starter like a Wiggins/Brooks.

I'm happy this team has added 5 rookies but we're also doing so in a "super weak" nba draft. My optimism for this upcoming season is pretty much seeing the growth of BBQ Dick while hoping we can tank for a top pick but probably won't be able to without a few injuries to our main guys.

Very happy so far. Lived the picks and the additions to get them, mcdaniels trade was great.

Would have thought they'd move Brown but I'm not willing to let that hurt their grade until we see what happens with him

Probably a B. Wasnt expecting much. Didnt get much.

Like the Chomche + Mogbo picks. Dont like JKW much, but also dont really hate it. Added a bunch of rookies and going into a season which, most likely, will turn into a tank in a stacked draft. Not a great offseason but we also didnt fck anything up, which is a win itself

Gave it a C... had they turned Brown into an asset I would have raised the score...

Getting anything for Jaden McDaniels was great and I know that the pro game is different but Jamal Shead was a beast at Houston. Not too bent out of shape seeing GTJ leave. Also not too keen on Brown still being on the roster. I was hoping he would be flipped for a late 1st even if it meant taking on some future salary. It seems like his value is low and not what it was like when he was with the Nuggets or Nets even. Players are getting paid now a days but I feel at 23M Brown is not worth it for teams to give up assets for him. I will give it a B overall. In saying that I am just happy that they did not do anything stupid like the Thad Young trade.

I find it tough to grade. We have a few young vets as the core that are capable of winning & I am sure they all desperately want to make the playoffs. We also have a veteran starting C in the same situation. They don't have much around them though.

I like that they re-stocked a pretty barren cupboard with youth. They aren't the prospects I had im mind & I have my concerns about them.

I do like that they have chosen a youth direction. I think some of these prospects will be interesting to follow, which will make the season a lot more interesting.

I would give it a B, with the potential to upgrade or downgrade by seasons end.

Pretty happy as I think we’re going to be pretty crap next season lol. But the core is locked up and while the rookies aren’t great I do think 2-3 years from now they will all be rotational players. Chomche is quite the wild card though. He has the physical profile and fluidity to be something on Scottie’s level. Let’s bottom out again and grab a 7-10th pick in a much better draft next summer.

Very happy to not have to think about the 1st rounder to the Spurs anymore. It seemed like the Raptors wanted to keep it, but better off going forward now in the plus in regards picks.

It’s a typical Masai off-season where not much really happened. But for once I think this is the right way to go. We need a high pick.

They accomplished the bare minimum. Really need to dump Brown, and preferably Poeltl to secure a good draft position.

Poeltl is an asset. It would not be wise to give him away. Also who knows what the lottery will hold. It is not like the NFL. I believe the Hawks were a play-in team. and landed top overall.

Right now I'll give it a solid B.

Pretty much we did ok within the situation we were in. No head scratch transactions like previous years.

Everything is geared towards developing younger guys. We've been long overdue .

As long as Bruce Brown is still here, they get a D from me. Sacramento trade was decent for what it is, a whole lot of nothing.

Objective should be highest pick possible. Poeltl is an asset. And assets are expendable.

It’s a C for me dog. The McDaniels trade was perfect, no notes. We brought in some rookies but still haven’t actually committed to securing a top pick. We did nothing with Brown when we were probably better off letting him expire and taking on salary using our capspace. Poeltl is still on the team, it feels like the front office will try to repeat the mistakes of the last season and try to compete for a play in, only to pivot too late when we could have better positioned ourselves for a draft pick

Chomche draft pick was an absolute home run and it'll only get better as time progresses.

I agree that assets are expendable. Kelly might be toast and the front court in general is poor. I want to hang on to Poeltl.

B at this point. A bit less enthused after we came back down to earth on the draftees. They are just okay picks, minus Chomche who I think can be really solid down the road.

All in all, a solid offseason so far.
