This would be such a pre-Masai thing to happen to this franchise. Really hoping that Koloko would sign here but he owes us nothing. He was discarded at his lowest point in life whether it's rightful or not.

Its also great to have Temple's veteran presence while we tank lol. Hanging onto him while we were tanking anyways wouldn't have hurt. Let's see how it goes before we actually get upset here lol.

I wish him the best whether it's here or somewhere else. I'm sure he's very happy to be playing again.

Something something accusations something something confession.
Having Koloko back would be nice.
He isn't the difference between us winning 35 games and 45 games, but he does add depth at our weakest position and a solid defensive presence in the paint (in theory, we'd need to see how he looks returning to form).
I don't fault the F.O. for waiving him since it did genuinely seem like his career was dead (even if I personally would have waived Nwora) but I digress.

Masai more interested in massively overpaying old washed up Canadian scrubs like Olynyk instead of building a base of young talent....

That is utter BS. We were FORCED to waive him. We should be retaining rights. If the Spurs get him we got completely owned in the Thad deal.
Koloko is a valuable piece and we have a hole at the back up C. Olynyk has no rim protection ability. If we have Olynyk and Dick as bench pieces we will have issues. Koloko would offset that to some degree.
The best situation for Koloko is here. We have more invested in him considering that trade. The Lakers will discard of him if he shows up rusty. Koloko shouldn't trust Klutch to have his best interests at hand.

We weren't "forced to waive him" when we could have just waived Nwora, Lewis or someone else on a similarly small deal to make room for the roster at the time.
We had options, it's just in hindsight that it really should have been Kira Lewis or Jordan Nwora.

Well that would suck. Hopefully he comes back here if he gets cleared.

How many teams in the league save roster spots for someone who was essentially medically retired?

Our weakest position? That's a laugher. Try Small Forward if Scottie is playing Power Forward and Power Forward if Scottie plays the 3. We're solid in the backcourt and we have a legit starting centre and 7 footer, also a space the floor vet 7 footer and, likely, a pretty respectable third string back-up in Fernando. That is solid depth at the 5.

Koloko probably need to spend at least half a season in the g league to get his game legs back. With adding koloko, we will be more comfortable trading JP. Start Burno, Kelly as backup and koloko to be the 3rd center on the team.

Koloko would thrive playing with Lebron.
