Portland Trail Blazers
Receive
Bruce Brown
Jordan Hawkins
2025 second (POR via TOR)

New Orleans Pelicans
Receive
Jakob Poeltl
Matisse Thybulle
Chris Boucher

Toronto Raptors
Receive
Brandon Ingram
Robert Williams III

Got this idea trade pitch from RaptorsRapture

What would concern me is the health obviously for both players. Ingram would be a big upgrade for us at the SF position and contracts is expiring. He only plays about 60 games a year though, kind of likeKawhi. Williams is expected to fully recover from a torn ligament and play this season.

I would do this over an Andrew Wiggins trade

This would be counterintuitive to a tank and give us two unreliable sketchy players that could possibly help treadmill longer. So it's a resounding no from me.

Move Brown, Poeltl and Boucher for draft capital.

Talentwise, it's hard to argue with the trade. Ingram is very good, and Williams can be a defensive anchor. If it costs us Poeltl, Brown and scraps, it's a fine trade to make imo.

Problem is both are hurt, older, and well paid. They also can't shoot the 3. Ingram is essentially Siakam, and it didn't work with Siakam. So fit wise both on the court and in terms of timeline, it doesn't work. I'd be more interested in Ingram/Williams moving onto a 4th team and we get picks back.

I hate you for trying to ruin the tank.

Meet me after school and lets fight

No thanks that’s a bad trade for us. It’s at best a treadmill move. We trade our best trade chip in Jak for an expiring that wants a big raise and may jet.

Hard pass on this trade. Team is rebuilding, not desperately trying for a 1st round exit. Roster is not close enough for this kind of deal anyways.

Why do the Raptors always end up with the most valuable players when it comes to proposed trades?

I'd do this in a heartbeat and use the assets for draft capital as they'd command a lot more than any of the assets that are given up.

You're not getting anything better than 2nd round picks for Poetl or Brown.

Ingram is kind of bad, always hurt, a poor fit with our roster in terms of age and position, and will either walk as a FA or sign an extension that will be among the worst contracts in the NBA as soon as the ink is dry.

Where do I sign?

This Trade does nothing for nobody. The only thing that makes sense is Poeltl, cause NO needs a reliable Big. Outside of that, nobody gets anything of need.

dont undervalue your own players. If Poeltl doesnt fetch you at least a first, you are a terrible manager.

I don't think we are a good fit for Ingram. We can't pay him what he wants, and I doubt he would be happy here.
