Scottie, Dick, Obaji have been working on their game

Mogboo and Precious have the same hair stylist, great passer, can't finish

Shead is a dawg very good defensively but can't shoot

Mitchell is also very good defensively but can hit a 3 and has good court vision and passing

Chomchee needs alot of time in 905

Fernando is a horrible player, just add him to the list of weak Centres this franchise has had

Ramsey, all he does is shoot, and all he does is miss

Carlson looks like he could be on a volleyball team

Battle and Carton cause confusion on the court, Battle is good at shooting, that's about it

Bruce Brown is a cowboy

RJ in one game looked highly skilled compared to all our other players

Boucher can only hit the corner 3

Purtle expect solid game from him every night, won't shoot open jumpers from behind 10 ft

Our point guard depth defensively is the greatest its been it's been a while

After the preseason games to date, I think we can clearly take Boston in 6 or 7 in the conference final.

I know, it's a balanced take, I am not saying championship yet.

The only thing is to make sure and position ourselves to avoid the Wizzards in the playoff path.

Barnes with a legit perimeter stroke is going to terrorise the league - let's see if it's real.
Dick looks SO much better physically, let's see if his shooting gets to an elite level over the next couple of seasons.
Mitchell is handy - he can really pass and play defence. Previous seasons tell us he will hit the open 3 as well. Could he be the long term back-up pg? I think it may come down to how much money he wants.
Agbaji is our most maligned pick up, but he really showed something in this last game. At 24 years old and possibly quite cheap long term, he has a case.

Chomche - so tantalising but he obviously can't actually play organised basketball yet. Worth a punt.

Yup. He simply looks to be on another level as a scorer than anyone else.

I am interested to see what Quick can do by the end of the season. Maybe he gets more aggressive as he gets comfortable. Right now RJ is the younger and better player between the two.

Scottie is at his best when he is super aggressive. Pushing the pace in transition, attacking the paint & creating plays going downhill. It's been this way since his rookie season. He looks like a star when he is playing this way. The problem has been inconsistency.

If Darko gets them to consistently play with the level of energy that they played with last night (it seems that the plan is to be really aggressive defensively and push the pace offensively), they will be a play-in team most likely. There will be so many tanking teams in the east. Other tankers won't match that competitive energy.

You add RJ & Quick to the equation......I don't think they have a chance at top 10. They'll have to hit a homerun with pick 14ish.

He also just looks big out there. He measured 6 ft 7.25 inches without shoes standing reach 8 8’ 220lbs. His measurements are similar to guys like Aaron Gordon, Paul George, Jeff Green. (Not saying he will be of that caliber just similar frames) He’s a legit SF in stature and ball skills, which we are in desperate need of.

That jump in 3pt % and ft % in his last year make it appear like he figured something out with his shot mechanics. When you watch his film he also launches far beyond the college 3pt line - often and with ease, the range is there.

Carton has played well but we just have a ton of guards so we’ll see. You’d imagine it’s one of Carlson, Fernando, or Carton that get cut. Can’t we just convert Temple to an assistant coach? Haha.

If it were up to me, Fernando gets waived.

We are much better than ppl want to believe, deeper than y'all predicted or anticipated. Darko is much better than he is getting credited for.

Bruno is easily the first to cut

Going back to summer league the two prospects that I think will make it out of this haul are Walter and Carlson. I think Walter is just really mature for his age and will find a way to get on the court. Carlson hasn't shot well in pre-season and kind of faded in summer league, but his shot blocking and quick release look good enough for a Boucher-like career as a bench big.

I'd like Shead to make it (I'd like everyone to make it, but I think Shead has elite NBA defensive skills right now), but I just don't trust that FG% from college.

Mogbo is still interesting to me, but I've seen enough in pre-season to know he needs another year of hard work to develop his shot. Chomche is still so raw there's no way of knowing.

Mitchell playing in control and within the offense is encouraging.

Scottie is ramping up. For him I'm looking to see if he can get his motor on more than off this year in the face of a losing season.

Gradey looks like he's made a palpable progression. I don't think he'll be a net positive for us yet because his defense is still very bad and he's still playing a little too fast on offense. But he's coming along.

Ochai is just going to have to knock down shots. If he does that, good. If not, move along.

My current takeaway is that our offense should be bit better this year. Still concerned about our defense still.

Ramsey is shooting 45% from 3 and his form looks good. He is missing his 2's which is out of character for him. He also defends well. He looked better playing PG, really solid in G League last year. I think there is a NBA player in there. I like him better than other guys that have spots. Hoping he and Battle can make the team somehow.

Man I hope I'm wrong but I am definitely not feeling optimistic about this team. Not even in the long run.

Dick has shown some flashes of pulling up from the elbow and twisting his body in a shooting motion that looks pretty slick. Scotty has shown flashes of the same elite court vision.

But I HATE the way scotty carries himself on the floor as a teammate. I hate that stupid slow down and look back before the easy putbacks. I hate his body language.

Thus is the crucial year. Is scotty gonna be a brat? Or a team leader? I wish I was more hopeful. Hopefully I am wrong.
