I’m going to ask a simple question… is this version of RJ better than Scottie ?
Will acknowledge SB’s superior defence but my question is centred on the following 1) RJ’s better play in crunch time 2) incredible chemistry with Gradey which i suspect is because RJ can get to the basket at will 3) better 3 pt shooting

No. You are never winning in this league with RJ as your first or second option.

NO.
They are different players. Barnes is more versatile and a more of a natural star with considerable upside beyond what he is now which is the reason why he's maxed out.
RJ at this point is more of a natural scorer...something that will be needed on this team going forward.
With all that said, the one thing that doesnt get discussed much because its an intangible thats hard to measure is leadership and the corresponding ability to inspire teammates. I'm getting the sense with RJ that he's a the type of even keeled, confident teammate that can bring a lockerroom together. Not to say Barnes cant be that guy either because at times he has shown he has the "IT" factor but sometimes he also lets his frustration takeover on the court.

Because it was 14 minutes ago and mods have lives?

^ this. The franchise is allowed to have multiple good players without pitting them against each other.
