Rate our perimeter defenders (eye test)

Post#1 » by MEDIC » Tue Nov 19, 2024 7:09 pm

I am just curious how everyone views our perimeter defenders. I am talking more eye test than stats.

Mine:

1. Ochai
2. Mitchell
3. Mogbo
4. Barnes
5. Shead
6.. Barrett
7. Walter
8. Dick
9. Quickley
10. Battle

(I am not going to bother with Brown/ Temple, as they have rarely played)

If someone wants to bring stats to the table, as a seperate point of interest........go for it.

You prob have it about right.

IQ I have barely watched in a situation that matters so it is hard to quantify him, but if he is worse than Dick... uh oh
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

There's an argument for Mogbo being #1 imo.

I honestly wasn't sure what to do with him. I feel he is in the same category as Gradey & and IQ, though. He does have some.potential as a defender.

Gradey, I put above IQ simply because of length & some promising POA defensive footwork I saw with Gradey.

No there isn't. He still commits a lot of fouls and his inexperience shows. (Averaging 5 fouls per game PER36)
He's got the most defensive upside out of anyone on this team but right now he's got ways to go.

Watch his foot movement on small guards, it's insane for a C.

I would put Scottie at 1 or 2.

You're breaking rule #1 of OP; no stats, just eye test. :P

High foul rate or not, his combination of superb footwork, athleticism, and length makes him minimum top 3 on the team... and yes, I'll even say possibly #1.
