The refs were right on this one, FVV tried to draw a lame 3 point foul (non-call), then FVV pushed a screener down in frustration (foul call)

Fred Van Vleet commits a frustration foul then points to each referee individually and tells them “You suck, you suck, and you suck… b*tch asses” then points at the referee who ejects him and says “You’re a b*tch”

It is interesting how the punishment for doing that to a ref is much bigger than doing that to another player....you would think the players are more valuable to the league since they are the product, not the refs.

Refs are employees like you and me and deal with tough work conditions that involve intensive amounts of travel

players are also employees that have to travel just like the refs.....and alot of the refs make 500k salary plus bonuses, they are far from regular.

It's not that. Refs are the authority figures of the game. If you allowed players to push them and such there'd be anarchy

I find it really troubling that there were different responses before yours.

Dude is taking 6.9 3's per game and only converting 31%. Perhaps he should have pointed to himself too...
You can't let frustration over your own play show itself like that.
Fred was a great player for us (for the most part), but I'm so happy we weren't the ones to give him that absurd contract. $42MM just this year heading his way.

It would have been a really bad contract for us since we already had many $$ contracts, but for the Rockets it made a bunch of sense.
They had cap space for last year and this year, and more importantly the fact that FVV agreed to 3rd year team option allows Rockets to essentially use him as a massive expiring filler now if the opportunity arises - it makes them completing a big deal so much easier this year. If that opportunity doesn't arise, they just move on.

I'm not erasing his accomplishments here. He was a key piece in the semifinals and finals. I just hate his play style, especially as the lead guard, because he isn't one. Indeed grateful for helping us win the championship, but I was jumping for joy when he left.

That's a easy no call. Those are the bs fouls they kept calling the past 3 years that ruined the game. Glad Silver got rid of it after the all star break last year. Btw FVV was one of the great role players I've ever seen in Finals history especially for an undrafted and shorter player. Thank you Freddy
