Stuff is starting to get set for movement. Big salaries start moving around, Masai & Bobby can insert some of the vets and flexibility this team has to get a few assets.

Nobody trading for Jimmy. He will let everyone know, loudly and repeatedly, if he is not happy. And he's also picking up that PO.
Maybe LeBron trades for him, but that's about all I can see.

Maybe the warriors? Seems like they’ve been putting out notice they’re looking for another star player to pair with Steph.

Good call, hadn't thought of them. They are one of the few teams that can keep Jimmy in check when he starts making noise asking for more money.

Not sure I see it. Whether they start Draymond or Kuminga, they need a 3pt shooter in the line-up. I know Butler's %s are good, but he doesn't really put many up (<2 3PA).
IF Philly has already given up on the team, wonder if a PG for Butler swap makes sense.

I'm not sure how Jimmy to Golden State works without including Wiggins. $48M is a lot of salary.
Is the upgrade to Jimmy from Wiggins worth the cost?

Re: Shams: inside pass
Can easily see Jimmy on the Rockets if they wanna make that big move to make a push this year and the Warriors for Kuminga, who they're trying to showcase right now and are probably not interested in paying.
Pretty straightforward and expected stuff otherwise. Though I notably think that any team that seriously thinks Kuzma would be a useful add is deluding themselves.
I heard it mentioned on Vecenie's podcast the other day as they were speculating on possible Ingram fits and I think he'd make some sense for the Spurs, but I don't know if the Pels would want Keldon Johnson and other assorted pieces, but I suppose that beats nothing.

You mean VanVleet for Bulter? Seems salary would work, maybe Houston can add more assets as well.

They know they're not that good. Jimmy is 35 and declining. They have probably one shot to deal Jimmy and retool around Herro/Adebayo before Adebayo ages out too.
They also just need more 3p shooting one way or another and playing Jimmy 40 mins come playoff time isn't helping that.

Vanvleet + Herro backcourt would destroy Adebayo in 20 games lol.

They definitely need a high-end wing defender, but if they are trading away Bulter, that would be the expectation, and wouldn't be surprised they are looking to tank intentionally this year.

Miami knows a treadmill when they see one, better to try and get value and restart before it's an uphill battle. Herro and Jaime are pretty much all they have, Bam is by no means old, but they can rebuild around Herro/Jaime and I think Bam is slightly aged out for that. Not to mention he has genuine value.
They had some good runs but know that this is the decline, they smartly protected their pick to OKC as a top 14 which means if they decide to shut it down this year they keep it. Otherwise they don't really have much to move in assets if they wanted to add to the team, and realistically, what could they add that would make them legit contenders in the east?
This is a smart move, by a smart FO IMO, don't get blinded by fools gold and know when to hit the reset button.

Props TZ!

Lakers make a lot of sense. I would actually love to see LeBron and Jimmy on the same team.
LA can offer Knecht, 2 2nds, and a future 1st (plus salary - DLO/GABE/RUI etc)

Future 1st from the Lakers exists?

They have full control of their picks in 2026 onwards. But I think NOP can screw them by deferring until the last year (2025) meaning the first year they can trade is 2027.
Lebron is definitely retired by then, so I'm not entirely sure the Lakers are comfortable dealing those picks, even if Lebron (through the media) is trying to strong arm them into doing exactly that.

Wiggins is a low-impact role player. Jimmy, despite being like 40, is still a MUCH better player.
If GSW wants to make one last push, Butler gives them a much better chance to do it than Wiggins.

Bam is 27, Herro is 24. But somehow Bam has aged out of a potential rebuild around Herro.
I thought Jasquez was fool's gold last year, and it's proving to be true this year. Maybe he's a role player down the line, but he's not a guy you rebuild around.
