Walter is going to be scouted let's see how he responds. I'm high on this kid. Best prospect we have as of now.

Poeltl is out.

Seems fitting to catch a beating on Boxing Day.

Gotta think Bruno plays today to bang against Edey and save others from having to do so.

Looking at the next 2 games, we could be looking at 10 straight losses including 6 at home and 0-15 away record (okay say 1-14 but it was Dejoute's 1st game back and both Zion&Ingram were out)
- 23rd in defensive rating
- 22nd in offensive rating(I hear it is more "watchable" now whatever that means with the poor ratings these days...)

At some point, Canadian media has step up and start asking the tough questions.

Grizz are 16-6 in their last 22 and all of those losses came to teams above .500. All of their wins against sub .500 teams were by double digits except for one.

They lead the league with 9 guys averaging over 20 MPG, and none averaging over 30. This team is deep. I just don't see how we can win this one.

What are the tough questions? We're tanking and / or injured. It's pretty straight forward.

As stated in another thread

Any head coach, on his 2nd season, in any of the Major pro league (outside of Canada), on a 8-game losing streak, including 5 straight losses at home and with a 0-14away record is looking at getting fired at any moment.

FO must have emailed Grange to cool off any negative article, after the one from last month.

Again, "Tanking" only equals what we did at the end of last season; certainly not at game 30 of a season while making your Franchise player play on a back-2-back on a sore ankle.

But if it makes you feel better, you can keep pretending that proven competitors are all in it thinking "adding Harper, of yeah now we can win"

Darko is playing 2nd rounders and gleague guys heavy minutes, due to injuries. We're competitive in most games. Firing him right now makes little to no sense and removes stability in the locker room.

I'm all up for reevaluating him in the offseason.

And our "competitors" aren't trying to lose. Not having the right guys in the lineup is doing that for you.

What is your bigger point? That despite injuries and guys sitting out, our record should be better than it is?

When can we start rooting for the tank?

There should be a cutoff

Poeltl and surprise, Bruce Brown are out.

I'm at the stage where I think Brown deserves to get booed by our fanbase unless we are told why it's taken him this long to get out there. Masai's big prize from the Siakam trade has been an utter disaster.

Any winning with the injuries we've had, and the consequent use of 4 rookies as major parts of the rotation is a bonus. Anyone suggesting the coach needs to go as a result is being seriously disingenuous. The main goal was always going to be development this year, and we've seen excellent progress with the aforementioned rookies, as well as Dick and Agbaji, Barrett, hell, even Poeltl. I'm not a fan of tanking, but when circumstances permit, as they do this year, while still allowing solid player development, by all means we should take advantage. If things turn around later in the year when everyone is healthy, then we can enjoy a few more wins.
