[GRANGE] Raptors waive Bruno Fernando
Try out a few GLeague centers and then move Battle to a roster spot while giving a 2 way to a GLeague center.

Guess we weren't able to fit Bruno into any potential trade deals. Opens up a roster spot for potential trade.

Thought he was half decent in a few games.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I guess he wasn't the type of player Darko wanted. But Bruno sure played better than he did when he started here. We'll always have the memory of that first two minutes in Miami (before Poeltl took off his warm up jersey).

It'll help delusional fans move in to the next scapegoat instead of just accepting the team is just not that great/rebuilding. Can't go accepting that the has been injured most of the season, and even now with a full roster it'll be part of the season before they have time to get any real chemistry.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 10-days salaries count against the cap right? If so, I suspect they do nothing until the deadline to keep the maximum amount of room below the tax line open for potential trades.

Masai loves to sign total scrubs... one less one on the roster now.

The season is just completely **** due to that. I still believe you can build something half decent with the current group of guys, but when you are finally healthy when you are already 8-28 it is hard to. You can see the effort level from November to now has dropped drastically and it is tough to blame them.
In about a month once trades start happening and the resting of guys every night this seasons gonna get back to unwatchable. Cant wait for the games where we play Malik Williams, Freeman Liberty, McDaniels, and Nwora all 30+ minutes again

- Raptors RealGM Forum re: Masai Ujiri - June 2023What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Nobody seems to be progressing along in their defensive play and effort. We don't seem to rely of a hell of a whole lot but individual efforts and scrambling. If there is progress it must be in some unfathomable area that doesn't count to the eyes. I'm getting tired of people looking at offensive production as a measure of anything. If anything it only makes our guys more expensive to resign when you still won't get defense out of them. Right now we have a very soft coach coaching a very soft team. Is developing toughness in the cards with these guys? Our efforts are growing weaker by the passing week, and yet we are told that we are now past the tough part of the schedule. The main core is reunited, and now it looks a lot like selfish 2-3 man play again.

Unsurprising, guy was dead weight and should never have been on the team. We were gonna be bad anyways, why not at least bring in Carlson. Fernando is a total nothingburger, but still a head scratcher.

Props TZ!

I believe they do count towards the cap. Given how the team may be relatively healthy again, they have the luxury of waiting for now. Chances are the 10 days won't get any playing time anyways.

I hear you, I'm not losing sleep over this.
My guess is they used Bruno as a backup C stop gap solution until KO became healthier. The FO moving his salary guaranteed date back shows they didn't really want to sign him.
I hope they keep the roster spot open to be flexible with trades. Brown's overpaid contract likely brings back multiple players.

Why? He is the true Tank Commander. No way he gets canned mid-season.
