This is the way. We need to sell assets who are actually worth something if we want to move in literally any direction. I hope this means we are open to selling Poeltl and Barrett for the right price. My price would be two 1st round picks and an expiring.

Not really surprising Poetl/Brown/RJ/Boucher all should be available. I don't think there is much you can get for the rookie deals guys though. IQ deal might be very good last 3 years (slightly lower cap % as Barrett right now) if he is healthy but if the deal is there you can trade him too.

That's exactly where they should be. Of course they won't just trade someone like RJ for scraps but he shouldn't be untouchable either. We'll see what they do with the vets/expiring but I don't think they can expect much in this market when there's a few buyers and many sellers. Get what you can but no need to be as stingy as previous deadlines.

Well yeah this core and team is not winning anything now or in the future....Its obvious we need a overhaul of players which means yeah everyone outside of Barnes should be available for the right price....Obviously we won't lowball ourselves but any kind of draft picks for players should be things we will be looking to add....

We will see how things play out.....I predict most the vets are off the team and Yak gets moved if the offer is good enough....

The Raptors have the easiest strength of schedule left which is a big worry, so the Raptors better get moving with the trades as other tanking teams are really pouring the gas on their tank.

First time in years that I read a Lewenberg article in its entirety. I felt most of this was his opinion, rather than anything he has been fed.

He's done his part. What could have been an awkward situation has played out far more amicably than, say, the Goran Dragic saga of 2021-22 because of Brown’s professionalism. He has said and done the right things, from supporting his younger teammates and being a steady presence on the bench and in the locker room to working his way back from off-season knee surgery.

LOL. All true, but he was also gifted 23M. Most men would be smiling the whole time.

I'm sure all the players that are tasked with buying in love seeing stuff like this. This is typically the kind of messaging they send out when it's an older team with one young promising player. This is a young team and Masai is telling the market he doesn't think he has anything worth building with outside of Scottie, including IQ who did nothing but get hurt a lot. I find this troubling.

There's a scenario in this article where we buy out Bruce Brown and keep Kelly and then extend Boucher. I don't think all of that will happen, but that would be very depressing. If there was a plan for this rebuild, it is muddy af. Masai just goes to the media and says "Just like OKC! Just like Boston!" And then after half a season of his own self-proclaimed 'year 1' he's out on everyone but one player.

Unless you can snag a first down the line.. 2027 and beyond, there's really no value that's going to come back for Brown, Boucher and Olynyk.

Though, there's always that chance of a diamond in the rough no one else sees. Those make great movies anyway.

Just keep giving minutes to the kids and develop develop develop without actually winning a pile of games.

God I hope this is true, not because I think everyone should be sold but this would mark a very clear direction, despite all the statements and the losses, I'm still mentally scarred from trading for Poeltl & going for a play-in push.

We desperately need a solid cornerstone talents on this team next to Scottie. Like a Flagg, Harper, Bailey or Dybantsa coming in the 2026 draft.
