Official Play-in Thread - Our Play-in Destiny is in our Hands
Update 800 PST Feb.12
Now in 13th spot and moving up the charts! We have a bunch of time before our next game to rest everyone up for the last 27 games of the season.
Starting after the all star break we have the Heat on Feb 21. We have the easiest schedule in the league and will look to dominate the schedule heading towards the end of the season
We've got 2 left vs. Chicago and are currently 5 games behind them for tenth and the final play-in spot. The Bulls are looking pretty vulnerable, play the Heat on Tuesday Feb. 4th in Chicago.
We've got 3 to games left with the wizards, 2 left with Utah, 2 left with Charlotte, 3 with Orlando, 2 left with Portland, 2 left with Brooklyn and 2 left with the corps of the sixers. That's 18 very winnable games, along with the spurs, and suns mixed in there to make 20.
Philly is looking worse than ever. We are 3.5 games back, and also play them 2 more times.
Let's get the We the North train fired up and get this thing!
Let's discuss what we need to get this done RealGm!

Totally understandable, just trying to make a little space for the alternate possibility this season

Saw the thread title and it made me irrationally angry. I can't imagine what Del is going to go through when he logs in and sees this.
Let's hope we are firmly out of the play-in when the season ends.

With the 15th pick in the 2025 draft, the Toronto Raptors select Liam McNeely from UConn.

his scoring inside the arc seems pretty bad..also really bad defensive metrics

but 15th pick led championship teams in 2021 and 2019

Sir, you are incorrect.
I confidently represent TWO in saying this thread is the greatest entertainment for us this season.

technically, I wouldn't be completely mad at a lower pick in this draft
I just want anyone with star potential or a role player elite enough to become an all-star (i.e. Draymond Green, Mobley type)
There are around 10-12 players I'm ok with drafting. If we end up at 15, I'd just have to hope that at least 2-3 players I don't want (Kon, McNeeley, Essengue, Demin) get drafted in the top 14.

Let's discuss what needs to be done?
Okay, you start by firing Darko. Team competitive... are we game? I assume OP is.

Masai is gonna trade the 2025 first rd pick, top 3 protected, for Jimmy Butler just to get into play in LOL

In my defense, 1-2 guys don’t make a team.

I think it would be very disappointing and a missed opportunity given the top end talent in this draft. It’s the best since 2021 (minus Wemby) in my opinion. In 2023, if you missed out on Wemby, you didn’t get an impact player. In this draft, it seems like there could be quite a few of them.
