Is there anything we can do to get better servers? I have enabled ads on the website to support the site. I'm not sure if the current ones are sustainable for high capacity volume times (trade deadline, playoffs, etc.)

Not for the first time. Very fragile.

It's the databases. My guess is they've done a ton of optimization but to stabalize more they'd have to upgrade which is a big level effort.

But I have no real knowledge, just my guess

Depending on the issue, they might not be able to.

The admin here didn't create the actual forum. It's a cookie cutter you see all over the internet. It's probably an issue they can't resolve. If you look carefully the code for the and1 button renders after everything else. I bet that probably took years to add on.

I don’t know when it was a full crash or not but it never loaded unless I was on a vpn from another country. No idea if they were blocking or slowing down certain locations to deal with volume but that is what it seemed like.

The "NBA top plays" video loading on every page probably doesn't help.

As someone who deals with this stuff on the daily. This site has become a bit of a embarrassment technically speaking.
The DB's are likely a mess but there no excuse for a forum to be this terrible these days.

For the number of ads that take up 95% of the screen you would think they could get this out of the 90's and do a little better
