I voted B but it is a B+ for me. I will give it an A if BI is resigned under 40mil/year.

Agreed. And if Ingram doesn't play a meaningful game for the rest of this season and doesn't affect our lottery odds, I'd give it an A+.

I gave it a B for much the same reasons as you two, I think it has a lot of potential to pan out. It could still be an A, but we won't know the outcome just yet.

Tough, I gave it a B but...

How much is he signed for?
Do we tank the end of the season?

Those two could swing it up to an A or down to a C.

I voted C because there is no way they sit him the rest of the year and if we dont tank the rest of the season, its insane. But it could go to an A if he doesnt play and signs a reasonable extension, I just think thats less likely.

B+ (A- depending on what the extension is)

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

I'm a huge supporter of this FO but I gave it a "C" ultimately.

I'm not upset at the cost but this team became a lot more expensive with players who are huge questionmarks i.e. the health of IQ, BI going forward and the viability of a player like RJ starting.

I dunno, this was two days ago.

Ingram will miss his 27th straight contest Wednesday while dealing with a sprained left ankle. Considering the star forward has yet to be cleared for contact and remains without a concrete timetable for a return to game action

If he signs an extension, I don't see why there is any rush for him or the team to have him back. And if they do, massive minutes restriction.

Really can't grade the trade properly until I know if we still tanking or not. Right now it's a C because we are 100% gonna overpay him.

Don't forget he'll get a player option.

I give it a B. As a talent acquisition (essentially trading Bruce, Kelly, and probably a late-ish first for a borderline all-star in his prime), it's an A. It's the injury concerns, the contract concern (I really doubt we get a discount), and the fact that this season is already in the toilet that knocks it down to a B.

On principle I gave it a D. Our GM said we are rebuilding and we went and played rookies most of the year and developed a .5 system which looked good. Then he goes out and trades for a ball dominant guy you have to pay $40m a season for.

It is why I have wanted to fire FO for years. They only know shortsighted moves to plug holes. Back in the Siakam/FVV era they needed a C so they burnt picks to get Poeltl. Then in 2024-25 they have a poor scoring team so they trade for in prime Ingram. You don't trade for a guy like this to figure things out. He is more of a missing piece for contention.

Rather than make smart moves on the margins we take big swings with little in the way of plan. To repeat Bill Simmons: "what is Toronto doing? They are not that good and very expensive."

We going to soon run out of small contracts to do deals and become stuck with a oddly fitting and poorly defending core. We better get Cooper Flagg to save us.

B because I don’t know what his contract will look like.

An A if he isn’t overpaid. We gave up nothing of value for an all star caliber player when healthy.

C.

I was on board with an Ingram trade. I was not on board with trading a lightly protected 1st and keeping all our salary. Barrett should not be on this roster this morning.

I’ve officially lost my trust in this FO. We have an expensive roster built around the most underwhelming franchise player in our history and coached by a kindergarten teacher. I get that this organization has pride in itself and refuses to act like a small market team, but they’re just coming off as stubborn at this point.

A for asset management.
B+ for addressing need for established talent, shooting
C for addressing lack of toughness and size.
More deals will have to come.

A if BI signs extension at a reasonable price tag; F if he leaves us for free

Never understood the hate for RJ.
