Hope Gradey enjoyed his 10 minutes of action. What a horrible format lol

G League for the win

This format is so much better than what they’ve been doing for decades

I like fhe format. Teams still have to come out and compete though. Gradey looked like the only one on his team that knew how to play basketvall (him and Black).

I knew GLeague would bring it.

Rooting for.Mac & Leonard.

Gradey was definitely the best player on his team tonight, which is nice. Unfortunately for him, he was basically the only one (Black as well, kind of) trying to play the right way - taking shots in the flow, finding open teammates. The rest of his teammates were mostly chucking up bad shots and standing in the wrong places when they didn't have the ball.

No surprise his team didn't win.

Anyone see the stuff the NHL is doing instead of an all star game?

That is what the NBA needs to do. Can fill out USA / Canada / France / Australia. Be nice if they could convince FIBA / Euroleague to partner with it as well and e could have all the bets nations play.

Candace Parker is taking over the Young Stars team, and had the chance to draft someone from any of the losing teams to add to her roster of the winning team for the 8th and final spot.

I was hoping that she was going to pick Gradey, especially since she kept talking on the broadcast about how much she thought shooting was going to be important for the rising stars against the vets and was impressed with Gradey. But she ended up picking Amen Thompson.

Can't fault the pick (although it doesn't follow her "shooting is key" logic), but too bad. I was hoping to get to see Gradey in this setting again, and for him to soak up and learn from more All-Star experience.

 Amen fricken' Thompson. No, you can't fault the pick. Obviously NBA and the networks (and streaming services) use Rising Stars to push it's young potential superstars. It may not have been Candace making the final decision here.

Bump-- I think GSW wins the Skills challenge here right now in the finals.

NBA all star is so broken. Players barely giving effort in the skills competition, an event that sucks anyways, and they still trot it out year after year. At least try the beep test or something, that might be comparable to fastest skater in terms of excitement and people relating to it.

Chris Paul and Wembanyama did nothing wrong! Wemby even hit the rim on one of those attempts, lol. I thought it was hilarious.

This will be the first year I don't tune into any of the all star festivities. Slam dunk competition is boring. Skills competition is boring. 3 point shooting competition is usually fun but I don't feel it this year.
