I swear we haven't had a true winter in quite a long time

This is nuts. I've run out of places to put the snow.

I blame Ingram for this. As soon as he comes to Toronto, we get the most snow in recent memory.

Reminds me of when we had such a mild winter but had the coldest stretch during a polar Vortex when we had the allstar game here lol.

I still remember when we got a meter of snow and Mayor Lastman had to call the army

So do my friends in Ottawa. They still give me stick about it.

Olivia should call in the US army. I'm sure Trump would be willing to let them come "help" us.

The young ppl here don't remember when this used to be normal in Toronto. We've just been spoiled lately.

The rizz of the Canadian winter, baby! I love it. I think the snow response has been pretty good for the most part.

I remember when Mel Lastman called in the army in 1999. I actually made it to school that day  so did my teacher.

Then there was the ice storm in 2013...

We'd never get a FA ever again.

London, Ontario winter/weather has sucked as well AND I have a snow removal service Haha! :\

Ugh. Gonna pay the extra $300 next year for the salting & hand shoveling. Blah.

I don’t mind the snow but it’s the constant -10 weather on top of it. Normally it will snow and melt in Toronto. But it can’t and just piles up now. Coldest winter in years it seems and ton of snow.

A couple of people argued with me in early winter that they only needed crossclimate 2s nowadays in Toronto. I really hope they ended up getting winter tires or just aren’t driving.

Honestly its been a hot minute since we had this level of snowfall, I might have to bring out my old knitted toque with the ear flaps & bright puffy winter vest that I havent worn in 20 or so years.

I was working at a big warehouse while in school then. My shipping manager had called saying they would send their cube van to come get me. Pretty sure I laughed and hung up the phone.

But honestly, this is what winter should be like to me. I like that I can finally have the kids enjoy snow.

I was in middleschool then, I remember the snow drift going up to the roof of my school, was tempted to climb it.

It's not even spoiled, it's concerning.

I have planned it out to shovel every 3-4 hours. If I do it all in one go its super exhausting, and 40cm or whatever they have forecasted will be too difficult to shovel and move.

When I'm not shoveling I'll be up all night playing games, browsing realgm and will probably walk over to get a shawarma. It feels nice walking around when its snowing.

Just finished snowblowing the driveway...done in less than 10 min. Will do it again first thing in the morning and later in the evening tomorrow.

Plan is similar...gaming and the occasional vibe check on RealGM. Might also watch The Gorge on Apple TV. I don't mind snow unless I have to drive to work in 20+ cm of snow.
