He's a good 3rd Center to have on the roster who you hope keeps developing.

Hoping Raptors can find a way to get a real backup C in the offseason through free agency or the draft.

When in Orlando, sign Orlando.

Could've secured a multi year deal if he changed his name to Toronto

Heard Trump is applying a 25% tariff on us until this happens.

Perhaps Jakob needs some rest?

I liked Kelly when he was with the 905 before. He lacks skill, but is a very athletic big who plays hard. I noticed him when the 905 played against him earlier this seaaon.

Having said that, he should probably be persuing a contract in Europe. He isn't making it to the NBA at this point.

Rhoden is a pretty crappy player. This move doesn't make a lot of sense. We need to find a young stretch big.

Orlando is a good third string centre who has proven he can sub in and provide steady and competent play. Although his play finishing isn't always there, he's pretty consistent and proven to be a hard worker who can provide effective big man minutes.

How many of those exist in the NBA?

How come no one thinks of him as a good back up?

Because he is too limited to be considered a good backup? And we should aspire to bring in someone better.

After all, next year is about winning and when Yak misses some games, you can't have OR as your starting C and expect to win lots of games.

There needs to be someone in between he and Yak skillwise. OR...he can hold a spot for a year until Chomche replaces him. No issue with that.

Exactly, you can draft almost any C in the 2nd and the would be just as good. I guess he's okay as a 3d emergency C but you'd like to have someone that can play PF and C taking up only 1 roster spot as the 3rd PF and C. Same for 3rd PG/SG.

Jakobe is like the 3rd PG and SG #2 right now.
Ultimately hoping that Chomche is at least 3rd PF and 3rd C next season. Hopefully he can be a platoon C and backup PF.

Robinson's offense looks like Chomche out there. He's had a few years to develop but I think he's just too weak without any great touch in close except for finishing in elementary school.

Nice reward for o-rob. Carved out a spot for himself like Battle did. Could def be back as a cheap 3rd string big next season. Does the dirty work you'd want out of a backup big, just can't finish inside, unfortunately, which ultimately caps his upside. But even semi-competent bigs aren't easy to find so you make do.

Fully expect them to find a real backup C in the draft with one of the picks.

If he is still on the board I could see the Raptors taking the big from Duke.
