Here is the silver lining to losses over the next week.

Assuming the Nets and Sixers are out of reach for tanking, which is probably accurate at this point, Raptors are likely to be in a position over the last 6-7 games to play to win with no impact on draft positioning.

The gap between 8th and 7th is currently 5 games. The Heat have 6 of remaining 12 games vs Washington, NO, Philly, and Charlotte (Steph-less GSW, ATL, and Chicago also in the last 12).

Playing to win games with a full lineup (BI too?) and no impact on the lottery might be something to look forward to.

A blowout loss would be huge.

A loss here would guarantee a top 8 pick?

This team was 8-31 and now we're supposed to be satisfied picking 7+

No. As of now we can still pick as low as 11th.

Ya because we had the hardest schedule to start out and then had the easiest.

That's how it works. Not to mention the amount of injuries we had to start the season as well.

Nuance is hard.

Not to mention the easiest schedule to end is even easier when those bad teams aren’t playing half their dudes

We could have easily tanked earlier and had more losses. Schedule difficulty has little bearing if you keep Scottie, Poeltl, IQ out for longer than needed.
