Tank World Order (XIV) Here we go, The Final Stretch of the 2025 Tank Season!!!

Post#1 » by 720 » Mon Mar 24, 2025 1:10 am

The rest of the season is about catching up to the Sixers and Nets. We play Brooklyn twice, Philly once. We’re at 7 right now. If we stay at this spot we have a 34 percent chance of dropping to 8, 12 percent chance of dropping to 9 and 19.7 percent chance of staying at 7 during the lottery.

I’ve allowed re-voting in the poll because this will likely be the thread that’s up when the season ends so we’ll know whom people like by the end of the season. We’re right below all the sexy picks (thanks to tanking way too late). Hopefully we move up one or two spots.

5 is realistic, 6 is the best bet. As long as you lose both against BK.

Yeah, I’m hopeful we move up too. The poll has guys that’ll likely go in that 7–12 range but that’s only because that is where we are right now.

It’s 5 6 or 7.

I know this. If we are the 7th worst team by the end of the season, have a 47 percent chance of dropping to 8 or 9. The guys I listed can go anywhere from where we’re at to 12-13 ish.

I left Demin in because some prominent mocks still have him up there. I think he goes in that mid 1st range.

No doubt. It's fine. I'm sure there's some on here that are high on him as well. Just giving my own opinion. Regardless, the important thing is that there will be options there in the top ten and that's where we're likely to draft at worst. They'll shut everyone down before dropping further than where they are now.

Top 10 Big Board 3/23 with tier separation:

Flagg

Edgecombe
Harper
Jakucionis

Queen
Newell
CMB

Jase
Knueppel

Condon

Sorber and Fears are honourable mentions, because I have them in the same tier as Condon even though they are just outside my top 10.
Tre Mann should have been a Top 10 Pick in the 2021 Draft

I respect it!

Totally forgot about CMB and Kasp but yes they're def up there too as considerations. Lots of options there. I don't think this draft is some all-timer but it's gonna churn out some really good players.

76ers next 4 games are against the Pels, Wizards, Heat, and Raptors.

Nets next 4 games are against the Mavs, Raptors, Clippers, and Wizards.

Our next 4 games are against the Wizards, Nets, Hornets, and 76ers.

All comes down to these next 4 games. Nets and 76ers could very well pass us.

Hypothetically, if we somehow get lucky and get the first overall pick. What do we do?

Take Flagg and trade Ingram? Would be redundant having all these wings.

Trade RJ. (If he's unwilling to accept a 6th man role)

Simple.

yea, I don't know why people are so sure we are 7th. Anything can happen, we need to be real smart about this from now tho. Can't play teams with all of our guys and heavily restrict minutes of the guys who do play if the games are close.
