Unless Jenkins slept with someone’s woman or he pistol whipped Ja lol this seems like probably THE worst possible time to fire a coach as a Playoff team. I wonder what the heck happened…

Yeah that's definitely a choice. Applaud him for doing exactly what he should, and then fire him. Weird, there has to be something more.

If you've watched the team a lot this season, this isn't surprising at all. Jenkins doesn't maximize the roster talent properly. But part of the blame goes to the GM with too many players on roster. Ja being hurt so often doesn't help either.

Even still,

A .603 winning percentage and a few weeks before the playoffs. A firing at this stage of the season for a 5th seed is definitely surprising and not the norm.

This is why you can never really tell what's going on with teams behind the scenes, that FO seemed like it was in lockstep with the coaching staff.

Some team is going to snatch him up quickly barring something shocking coming out about him.

Couple days ago, there was a scene where Bane shoved Aldama during a bench timeout and it looked like they were ready to go at it.

Unless there's some Udoka vibes happening, no team (especially a playoff team) fires their coach in late march for on court basketball reasons

Seems like MEM fans are saying it’s because they want to make their assistant coach Lisalo the new head coach.

What doesn’t make sense: if Jenkins rotations (lower minutes for starters) is the reason he’s out then why are they wanting to hire the guy who’s responsible for that system in the first place (Lisalo)?
