BRILLIANT STRATEGY to get COOPER FLAGG

Post#1 » by MessiahUjiri » Tue Apr 1, 2025 3:39 am

Mods, don’t merge this with other tankathon because this is a fundraiser idea to capture Cooper Flagg for the Raptors and become 5x world champions (like Booker T in WCW).

——-

Now there are 7 games left in the season, this is the plan to secure the Flagg, since Masai and Darko must be stopped from a repeat of Coin Toss Ross.

What if we create a GoFundMe and send someone in the front row next to the Raptors bench, and sneak in a bag of banana peels? Everyone who played Mario Kart knows that a banana peel makes the floor uncontrollably slippery.

The idea is that players like Scottie & Poeltl will step on the peel, and go flying into the crowd, and once everyone is injured, we will forfeit the season. It’s almost like the time that Luigi slipped on a banana peel and got AIDS.

Since the front office won’t tank properly, we need to band together and send in a shogun assassin, armed with a dozen ripe banana peels.

As a bonus, we should conduct the GoFundMe in crypto, so that this becomes an unstoppable global movement. We can also issue monkey NFTs to people who donate, as a reminder that they will never have girlfriends.

I've never looked at this draft as Cooper Flagg or bust. If we get the first pick cool
but I think the draft starts at 5.

As for Flagg I think there is valid concerns if he has the offensive game to be a
true game changer. He's kind of like Barnes good all around versatile player with
a suspect bag.

This OP reminds me of the old realgm, when we were younger and dumber. Would read again.

You had me until the op turned to injuring our players. I thought it was heading toward bribing Flagg with like 100 million we raise to threaten to sit out unless he comes to the Raps.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Idk his bag right now at 19 looks better than year 4 Barnes.

God we don't need another thread turning into a Barnes thread.

It's interesting watching all the comments about every prospect after Flagg and maybe Harper, and how divided people are. Like everyone 3 onward has people who don't want VJ, Bailey, Fears, Tre, Maluach, etc... and think they will bust.

Hard to find consensus.

Maybe as an idea, we should start a thread where we all vote on who is #1...of course will end up Flagg. Then next day it's voting on #2 with how is left. Etc...

Would give us a look at a consensus on what our board thinks and of course people would comment why they would vote for ???

Just an idea...made start it after the season to bridge the gap to the draft lottery

If this thread series was made, you would see that Edgecombe either gets voted the 2nd best prospect by this board, ahead of Harper, or runs away with #3. I haven't really seen any Edgecombe haters.

IMO Edgecombe is still being slightly underrated right now by the mainstream mocks. Him and Ace Bailey are basically seen as borderline locks to go 3 and 4, but I think Edgecombe should be viewed as a tier 2 guy with Harper, and not a tier 3 guy with Ace (Flagg is obviously alone in tier 1). I will admit though, that part of my opinion is also influenced by how low I am on Ace.

What do you mean the front office won't tank properly? We've been sitting our starters, not playing starters in the 4th...there are just some really, really horrible teams this year.

Personally, I actually think that Harper is a touch overrated and might prefer Edgecombe.
If Maluach is a hard worker, he has the highest ceiling of any player outside of Flagg.

I'm in the exact same boat as you. VJ's otherworldly athleticism has me questioning how he isn't in top 2 talks. What am I missing? He's Oladipo with better defence for me.

Also Ace...A supposed scorer who can't score? 46/34.5/69 splits don't scream NBA scorer to me. Handle is weak and isn't shifty or strong. He's gonna be shooting a ton of mid rangers in the NBA due to this. I'm not sure what to do with that.

Or/and a poll to predict which player will out-perform their eventual draft slot.

There are so many good players in this draft, and I can see a couple of them being better NBA players than Flagg. This may turn out to be the deepest draft ever.
