Cade - all NBA

Post#1 » by Kingsway_fan » Thu Apr 3, 2025 6:46 am

7th in voting for NBA MVP... looks like a well deserved All NBA for the Detroit star is expected.

He's clearly showed he was the right first overall pick and he now distances himself from the rest of the class. We'll done Detroit. He was also consensus 1st pick if I recall.

Going forward in the next two or three years, who do you think will be a clear #2 best from that draft?

Barnes can still become a better scorer than he is. He will need to improve leaps and bounds. Hopefully this season was a wake up call.

Defensively it's no question he's better than Cade. It's the other end of the floor that's a huge concern. Unless Barnes pulls it together I see it being:

Mobley

Cade

Barnes
Green
Sengun

Mobley has great functional atheticism and once he's in the full time C position the Cavs might look even better.

I'd take Franz, Mobley, and Sengun over Cade in a re-draft. There is still a chance for Scottie to pass him as well (he's basically having the same season Scottie had last year). He isn't even close to having an All-NBA impact.

Can he become the best player from this draft? Sure. But so can a bunch of other guys. Cade hasn't done anything to seperate himself from the pack.

Dude is averaging 26/6/9. He’s an all NBA player with ease.

All of his numbers went up with the increased usage, it’s his most efficient year as well. I’d comfortably take him #1 in a redraft.

Clear cut. One thing is always consistent on realgm.. The homerism and delusion of raps fans in massively over assessing their talent.

Never fails, lol too funny, and always so predictable ....and this, coming from a Raptor Fan.

yeah Raps fans can be completely delusional.

even when Cade's stock wasn't that high in the past few years, his play wasn't even bad and you could've easily made an argument that he was a product of his poor environment on the Pistons

What does disagreeing with the assertion that Cade is an All-NBA calibre player (he isn't) have to do with being a homer?

I always felt that draft was one where a different guy would have the "best year". This year is Cades turn.

Let's see how things play out next year but he has the ball in his hands way more than the rest of them so likely will keep posting big numbers.

And hey, if Cade was going to have the best year, this was the year to have it to bump up that contract...extra 45 million in his pocket.

You started this thread just to troll. I'd take Barnes over Cade. I feel Barnes just has a bigger impact. But if Cade is better. Shouldn't he be ? He was the #1 overall pick. What was your objective of this thread ? To say, "see look, rap fans are homers" ?

Another clueless poster. Still living in mommy 's basement? You just proved my homerism point. Too easy... lol Man, I would hate to be you.

No question Cade deserves all NBA this year.

That super max contract as a result is going to hinder the Pistons moving forward though.

He doesn't look like he has enough two way ability to be a super max player. He would have to ascend to the level Lukas at to be worth it.

This is a function of winning which goes to my theory of useless stats for tanking teams. As for thew players, since Montverde its been clear who the better offensive player is, not even the most hardcore Scottie fan would argue that as far as impact, remains to be seen and can only be measured by winning.

My top 5 re-draft would be Cade/Mobley/Sengun/Wanger/Barnes.

you could maybe make the case for Mobley but none of those other guys have an argument over Cade, least of all scottie.

There are some weird lingering effects from when we had to pretend Barnes was the best player in this class. It’s warped some people’s perception.

Cade and Mobley are pretty clearly at the top. I still think Barnes can stick in that second tier with Sengun and Wagner though.

Probably not you, but there will be people comparing him to our player (in the future state).

Sadly, I believe Sengun did not get the near-max, and their fans already claimed he is more productive than Barnes. Time will tell, but the salary difference will favour Sengun being in the same tier regarless.

Some gaudy numbers he’s put up this season. Really believed in his talent and good to see him healthy finally. I dont watch him enough to comment on his defense but he does seem kind of soft there.
