If this is a dumb thread feel free to lock it up mods but I thought maybe it would be a meaningful way to examine our choices based on lottery position and who we predict will likely be on the board when our pick cones up.

So assuming we lock up the 7th lottery odds, our odds look like this:



So I'd like to see how everyone decides based on what we know so far, what pick would you like to see within reason (i.e. Dylan Harper can't drop to 8th, has to be realistic). 1 - 4 will probably all be the same. You are allowed to reach though if you know they'll be on the board.

Ultimately your picks may end up going earlier or later than you expected but this is meant to be a snapshot of today if the draft happened.

Yes & No, mostly its based on who you hope the Raps take at each position.

You could be grounded and pick what player looks most like a Raptors pick or go by who you hope the Raps pick.

Its a mix of both for me.

1 - 4: Flagg, Harper, Bailey, Edgecombe
5: Tre Johnson
6 - 8: Fears, Queen, Bryant
9 - 16: Essengue, Richardson, Sorber, Murray-Boyles, Jakucionis, Knueppel, Maluach
17 - rest: Beringer, Will Riley, Newell, Demin, Traore, McNeeley, ...

I know I have Queen at 4, but to me he's a top 5 talent in this draft. To be that skilled at his age is crazy.

I keep flip flopping. I just don't think this draft is all that great. I think 2023 was better for example.

This is a cop out but for this draft I'm 100% team Tolzman. Not going to be upset with whoever they take. Even if it is Ace at #2 (who I really don't want unless he drops all the way to 10 and we drop that low).

Also I really like Fleming but he's not in the lottery in most mocks, so no point listing him. And because my "scouting" is done using highlight reel packages where everything he does looks great, I'd probably have him at #4 lol.

Of course this is based on April 7th lol and we gotta see did anyone show off skills we weren’t aware of or has someone grown since the end of the college season etc. So obviously A LOT can change but right now that’s the order I like and really it’s based on if the Raps helped them reach the upper level of their potential.

Wouldn't it make more sense to just rank the prospects from 1-10? The pick position doesn't matter as much as who's available

CMB can't be an under the radar Masai-type, if I've been beating the drum that CMB is a Masai-type FRP since the 2024 draft cycle. If CMB had declared last year he probably would have been #1 on my 2024 big board.

Also you got Ace way too high. Masai ain't touching Ace and all his glaring red flags with a 10 foot pole. Ace is a Masai-type DND.

Here's how my Masai-type FRP list says it goes:

Tier separation shows where my uncertainties are, for example Masai could take Jakucionis or Queen 4th and I wouldn't be surprised.

Why do people think CMB is going this high? Hes a 6'8" C and not even a 1st rd pick on most mocks. I'm genuinely curious to hear the case, I haven't really seen him

We win the lotto and pick Flagg. That is all.

Curious if Maluach's potential visa issues impacts his draft position

I've seen him mocked in the lottery. His defence is legit. I think he's a bad fit. The Raptors need more shooters.

I feel like just asking people to post their top 11 would be much, much easier
