The problem is the owner is a know it all former college player and he's running the show - the FO is just executing his orders.

They're trying out all the previously fired NBA champion coaches. Malone is 90% next up there, esp now that it appears Nurse's job is safe.

I thought I heard on the radio his contract expired, and hasn't been extended. So he's good as fired.

Can't see him getting another GM job anytime soon. Maybe an assistant GM, scout or advisor. Then again, most of the terrible moves were at the behest of that new owner from Michigan State.
