Darko rated 7th worst coach in the league

.Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic did not get any votes as best coach (players could not vote on their own coach), but placed seventh in worst coach in the league (his Raptors predecessor Nick Nurse finished fifth).

Darko's job is to improve the young players. Winning hasn't been a priority. That changes next season.

I am not gonna judge the coach on a rebuilding team with no stars and a couple of decent players who sat out nearly half the season. Lets see what he does next season with a full roster. I know lots of you like to hate on Darko but he has not gotten his chance yet to show what he is capable of.

the vote doesn't mean much TBH. Most players in the league probably have zero or extremely limited interaction with Darko so there's no way they'd know if he's a good coach or not. Most players probably look at the end of season rankings and say yeah that guy sucks or this guys great.
OKC's coach was voted the best coach right? Team was unreal so it's an easy choice. Where was Malone ranked before being fired? I assume he wasn't bottom 7

Hard to evaluate a guy when we aren't healthy or actively trying to win, I think.

He recieved 4 out of 78 votes. It means nothing. It's just random players sharing inane opinions.
They also voted Joe Mazulla as a better coach than Popovich and Kerr. Nurse, Thibs, and Bud were all voted as "worse" coaches than Darko. Jordi is also on the list.
TLDR: It's a worthless poll.

I was thinking the same thing. COTY is really most improved coach. If we make top 6 next year he'll get some votes.

We were the 7th worst team so makes sense.
Nurse literally went from a top 5 coach in the players a couple years ago and now he's in the bottom 5.

framing really is everything.
we can also say carlisle, kerr and lue only got 3 votes less than darko.
for someone to vote darko, who i bet more than half the league don't know tells me it's probably some of his ex players here his first year.

Darko is not a good coach but how do players from other teams know he is not a good coach? Poll is pointless.
