fred really is a poor shooter - just a volume guy but he plays an important part for houston. the improvement by win totals since his arrival is tangible. no need to ding him for it.
houston's roster is a bit nuts. so many raw athletes but very few with great skill. they draft a bunch of low iq players that win games b/c of their athleticism and defense but outside of jalen green's scoring every other game, they really don't have any guys that can score at a high level. they're all young but that's alot of draft picks already used on these type of guys. definitely need to make some consolidation moves this summer. sengun is also very soft.

Rockets desperately need KD or Book as a primary scorer and everything will sort itself out from there. Green isn't dependable or consistent enough for that role, not even accounting for his awful defense and Sengun has people fooled with footwork as they ignore everything else he lacks as a big.
That score-first/bad defense SG and C archetypes as a whole is overrated and those players are being constantly exposed these playoffs. Something to consider when evaluating draft prospects too...

Hard to get coaches to buy-in to the reality of what you're doing. Fred is a high floor, low ceiling veteran meant to help bring structure to a young team that still has way too many wild cards...and then get his contract traded as salary ballast for a star.
But you're in the low ceiling phase of the season now. A slow paced, uncreative combo guard who's main strength is getting hot from 3 (which almost never happens now) and
not being an initiating cog can't be playing 40 minutes in a bad role in development season.
The Rockets aren't winning anything, and making the playoffs after they punted on the deadline trade market means you get those bench guards some of that experience. Not playing a tight 8 man rotation against a very old chip core. See how they do under playoff adjustments. Find some of that unexplored ceiling.

Cade is the best player in the series.

Pistons maul Towns and Brunson every trip with no calls. NBA has gone overboard allowing physical.

Brunsons a tough mofo. Closest Lowry type of scorer I’ve seen too.

Highkey if teams are allowed to play this physical the Raps might be one of the better defensive teams

So much isolation play I really don’t know how we’ll fare in the playoffs lol. Even Dennis is just bailing them out on iso plays.

Cade bricked that but they still should've called a foul on that last shot

It was but deciding a game off FT’s is a tough pill to swallow. I’m glad they didn’t call a foul even if it was one.

I’ve never understood this line of thinking. If it’s a legit foul that prevents a shot from having as much of a chance than they are in effect deciding the game by not calling it. Towns make some great shots to take the lead on plays he wasn’t fouled. I guess the Pistons should have forced him to hit the shots through contact.
