I just think it's a function of what they've re-focused on in terms of the attributes they really want from their players.

Masai has expressed that the team has gotten away from development and a team focus, and I think acquiring players that are coachable, will work hard to integrate not only into systems but with their teammates off the court etc. has been placed at the top of the priority list.

I'm guessing when they were going over the pros/cons of the BI trade, this was a big one, so it just naturally comes up whenever a reporter asks about how BI is doing now. They believe in his character, and therefore trust that his hard work and unselfishness will translate.

He's also been injured so I'm guessing part of the response is aimed to quell any fears about BI busting his ass to be ready for the start of next season. At least if I was in their shoes, I'd be cognizant of the fact that fans haven't even seen BI on the court yet, so I'd try to provide reassurance when the topic arises.

It’s his sleepy eyes shape is genetics man lol. He’s more talented than anyone on our roster, do you think he was born like that? It’s clearly his hard work.

No one has to convince me that BI isn't a worker.

It starts with how his body looks now vs as a rookie. He filled out his frame very well.

Whatever he has done to become a 24 pt scorer who gets you 5 rebounds and 5 assists a game...keep doing it. Shot making is elite and has vision to pass. You probably adjust the shot diet to include a couple more 3s vs long 2s...but I love his game.

Please just find a way to play at least 67 games a season and stay healthy enough for a playoff run.

I think it's focus of the new team culture...work hard, learn from coaches, play an unselfish team game.

Seeing how well this group actually gets along is so refreshing vs previous years where divides were obvious and it impacted the team.

It's why if we do go after a big trade, we won't touch someone like Zion, regardless of his skill or cost to get him. We rebuilt this culture and BI is fitting in nicely without even playing a game yet.

The best is yet to come.

Ingram's also already been an All-Star while playing in a much tougher conference in probably the worst organization in the league.

I think he's being underrated more than overrated in general on this forum. Depending on what happens with KD this off-season, I think there's a pretty good chance that Ingram is the best player to enter the Eastern Conference this year.

BI was asked to be the primary playmaker the past 3 years because CJ Mac was the "point guard" which limited his opportunities to score. So he has absolutely not reached his scoring potential.

I don't know if he can get better but he's still the same guy who has averaged close to 23-25 points a game for 3 of the last 6 seasons. He can still do that. That's an all-star in the East and easily the top scorer on this team. If he can give you that kind of production and stay healthy for at least 65 games...that's good enough for me.

I agree with this. There is just something about Scottie that I beleive in. He ia fearless & he is a competitor.

I think it's going to take a bit of time with Scottie, but I think he is going to be a beast in his prime.
