If we had someone like Kawhi beside him we would have paid.

If we weren't gonna pay someone else would have. But I would never pay this much for a specialist/role player.

I think we got the most out of him and hopefully he does win somewhere. Just not NY cuz I hate NY.

I can't believe OG actually complained about wanting more of an offensive role without having any offensive game

His offence is miles better than what it used to be. I used to hate watching him on that end.

I still don’t know if this was true. OG is a smart guy. It was abundantly clear two years ago that this guy can’t shoulder a big role offensively. Deep down he would know that as well.

This thread doesn't even make sense. It's not like the knicks are letting him run iso and he's failing.

Catch and shoot players occasionally have off shooting nights. That's all that is happening the past couple games. Just more "derrr ball goes in ball goes out" stuff.

In anycase....I think OG DID hope to become an iso guy. But he's probably let go of that now that he's got paid for what he does best anyways. I could see why 3 and d guys might pressure coaches to let their role evolve. They don't usually get the pay day that OG got. So it was perfectly logical for him to want a chance to do that (even tho it was a Longshot)

I don't even know why some fans even bother watching the game. All you have to do is review a players buckets/attempts ratio and you will know who played good and who played bad.

There's a problem with too many cooks in the kitchen but the build our team has now is better. All 3 of our wings can shoot, drive, and pass. The bigs are defensively focused.

We has several miscast pieces and a lack of depth. The lack of depth and shooting hurt more than our starters. Now we have a comparable starting group and much better depth. Along with at least 2 lottery picks with Gradey and this years.

If we applied our depth to our old core we would have been a playoff team easily.

Poeltl / Maluach
Siakam / Mogbo
OG / Agbaji
Barnes / Dick / Walter
FVV / Shead

That would have had some real potential.

OG wanted to be in NY. It was OG wanting to go that got Masai to "blow up" that team and nobody else. Toronto would have paid him. I would have paid him. OG is a great player, and a damn good 3rd option because of his defense. I will miss no player more than OG.

Yeah, I guess I was wrong comparing the first year of their contracts.

Yeah. OG is one of my all time fave Raptors. Love his game.

He is basically playing Bosh's offensive role on the Championship Heat team. Similar production but with better defense.

Hard to put a price on that. When you are going all in to win, you have to pay for talent. OG is one.of the more elite role.players in the league.

OG is more valuable to a team than Barnes so its actually not an overpay when you put it in perspective.
