I think depends how much we give.

If it's Barnes, the 9th pick and a couple future 1sts, it's not too bad because at least Giannis will have some good young players around him with upside.

Based on the criteria he's looking for from legit sources (Superstar teammate to ease burden and no state income tax), I would be surprised if he doesn't go to the Spurs especially when they have the ammo along with contracts (some combo of Vassell, Johnson, Barnes) to easily trade for him without affecting the team's chances of winning.

Spurs really just jumped the line right to the top imo. I always said they were a dark horse in terms of assets, but on-court, they were the ideal location for him. Now they have the prime assets too.

With our lotto fall, imo the only way we're in play for Giannis is if we work a 3 way trade with NO to return their picks back to MIL.

With Giannis name-dropping Scottie the other day, he likely only agrees to Toronto with Barnes still there (assuming he would ever agree to Toronto). He is not going to the Raptors to play with IQ and BI. He just went through many years of "good-when-actually-healthy-but-never-is" with Middleton, he's not hitching his wagon to that again (and I love the BI trade).

So it's entirely valid to propose non-Scottie trades, however light they may be. I also don't say that to avoid trading him, I would move him in a second for Giannis.

Scottie is a terrible match for Giannis.

Ya and the Pelicans need a Center like Poeltl so it could easily work there.

The Bucks would have to take less to accommodate Giannis and that's the only way he'd come to Toronto tbh.

It doesn't make sense for the Spurs to offer this much for Giannis. They could be set for the next decade by just keeping Castle and Harper next to Wemby.
