HOU has a pretty deep roster but they could probably use some shooting. I like Jak, Coward or even Jase here.
Or, because they have a deep roster they can take a swing on someone like Essengue.
Or, the pick is traded for KD.

Either it’s Jak to replace Fred long term or Coward so they actually have an efficient 3pt shooter lol

Personally I don’t see them taking CMB when he’s a PF which obviously is the position Sengun plays and they also have Tari Eason already too.
I really think they’ll take someone who can shoot since they desperately need that.

Sengun is a C, Eason is a SF. And CMB does seem like an Ime udoka type of player.
But I think they need a PG as insurance for Fred and I leaned towards Jase because of his shooting to complement Amen

Sengun is not a C, like Sabonis, he’s a PF who can’t rim protect hence why they have Adams. He’s played at the position out of necessity because they don’t have enough shooting on the court with him, Amen and another C like Adams. It’s clear as day they need a stretch big next to Sengun, more specifically one that can also rim protect. Unfortunately Jabari is also a PF so he doesn’t offer rim protection which is why he’s not even looked at as a part of their core.
Eason can be used as a SF but he is best used as PF with his limited skillset offensively, sort of like Fleming this year. On a team with a good enough floor spacing SF, Eason would be a PF. But HOU has to play a lot of odd fits and occasionally players out of the natural position because they’re just so deprived of shooting lol ie/ if there is one team praying Kon falls, it’s them!

It's a bit pointless to debate this because just as you consider rim protection to be the job of a C, one could consider floor spacing to be the job of a PF. Either way, players like Sengun and Sabonis present a challenge to build around (just like our own Scottie who's a 4 that can't shoot). There's like 5 players in the NBA that fit the mold of a stretch rim protector and only one of them (JJJ) would truly fit with Sengun and Sabonis because of his mobility on defense.

It is a challenge and exactly why they wouldn't continue to compound it by adding CMB lol
It really doesn't matter if there are only a handful of players that fit that mold, it still doesn't mean that Sengun isn't a PF because he quite clearly is just like our own Scottie as you said. It wouldn't matter if we got another PF that shoots, it wouldn't change that Scottie isn't a C just like Sengun isn't - again it's simply a move out of necessity. Whether they trade for KD or not, this pick will be used to add shooting in one form or another, I'm willing to bet on that.
They simply can't afford not to or to waste a top 10 pick on an overloaded position at PF (Sengun, JS Jr, Eason) where he'd get limited minutes, it would be an extremely poor use of a nice asset.
