The greatest movie of all time is getting a sequel.

Because what we definitely need is a sequel nearly 4 decades later...

I liked Pizza the Hut. Very memorable character. The rizz of this sequel will surpass the rizz of the source material's sequel.

I hear you. He's done some fantastic things. I'm a huge fan of the original, and of Men in Tights, Blazing Saddles, etc.

I just... he hasn't directed a movie in 30 years, and it's been a while since he landed anything really amusing as a writer, too.

It just feels like a cheap rehash. We'll have to see, I guess, I'm just not optimistic with sequels done so long after the originl.

Not sure if you know, but he's not the primary writer, it's Josh Gad, he pitched the sequel idea to Brooks. Maybe it'll be solid? I hope to god it is, spaceballs is like top 3 movie for me lol

Similar to the History of the World II television series. That was... not good, despite being loaded with great talent. I'm guessing Gad isn't going to be a principal writer. What has he written?
