Great player. Cheap deal IMO. Their offseason starts out strong.

The contract will become an asset when they use it in a trade to make salaries match. Same reason Masai gave Kelly that contract.

Not is Todays NBA. Two years from now that is going to look cheap for a guy who is going to be in your playoff rotation

This is below the MLE which will be at $14m next year, $15.5m in 2026 and $17m in 2027. You expect them to pay him the minimum or something?

People really need to stop thinking in terms of dollars given what's happening to the NBA cap.

Honestly they cannot run back that same team next year. They need an upgrade somewhere either vanvleet or brooks. They going to be capped as a first round exit team keeping that same team.

It's declining too. Only 11m in last year. Decent contract

Its a great deal for a valuable backup C. Imagine he were on the Raptors, our defense wouldnt have the drop off it has when Poeltl goes off the court.

They are getting better by internal growth like OKC did.

I could have sworn he'd been in Houston longer than a year. There's still some sticker shock with deals these days, but it's reasonable for a backup C that is probably better than some starters.

Apparently he's never been a free agent - he just always signs extensions.

We're burying the lede here. Houston may want to unload the #10 pick to get out of the tax. Not sure we're in a position to help them with that.

People saying too high don’t understand the impact Adams brings. Memphis trading him away was one of the worst moves and the team has not been the same since. Adams is like Al Horford to Boston.

I'm offering Luke Kornet the full MLE with max raises for 4 years. Likely the most any aspiring contender can offer.

He can be a free agent and make the MLE or go to a crappy team with cap space. He should take 3 years $100 milion.

Those 2 guys just happened to be their most consistent guys in the playoffs and the only 2 who didnt look scared to dribble the ball under pressure. What they need to do is trade in some of the prospects before they lose too much value.

Without Fred or Dillon....I think they would've been swept by the Warriors. The only two winning players on the roster.

If I were the rockets I would focus on Thompson, sengun, Fred, Dillon. Trade 2 of their other hyped up prospects plus picks for a star. They have too many inexperienced prospects in the rotation at this point of their team development.

Thompson and Fred are destined to make an amazing backcourt together. The Raptors would be crazy to trade for Durant imo. The rockets, on the other hand, are the ultimate Durant destination.
