I think I want to see who he is surrounded with before I project his stats.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

If everyone is healthy (doubtful with Ingram) I see his numbers looking rather pedestrian. I see him averaging the 4th most shot attempts per game. I don't have high hopes for a big leap from him. Granted I'm not a big fan or believer of him as most are on here. But something like 16, 8, and 5.5 with mediocre 3 point shooting. I see his fg % going up though. Over 50%

I don't think he's good enough to demand the ball and with his non aggressiveness, even if he was good enough, I see him deferring like crazy this season.

I'll be happy with this, as long as he brings that defense from the second half of last season.

I mean... assuming we add no one:

Per‑Game Averages:
• PTS: 19.3 --> 17.5
• REB: 7.7 --> 8.0
• AST: 5.8 --> 5.5
• STL: 1.4 --> 1.5
• BLK: 1.0 --> 1.5
• FG: 45% --> 50%
• 3P: 27.1% (1.2/4.3) --> 33.3% (1.2/3.6)
• FT: 75.5% (3.5/4.6) --> 76.5% (3.2/4.6)
• TS: 52.3% --> 57.9%

Assumptions are he falls down the offensive pecking order behind Ingram and possibly IQ in terms of FGA (maybe even RJ as well if he runs the bench). Should see increases in defensive output, and increases in efficiency.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

If Scottie averaged 24/8/8 on that efficiency I would be absolutely shocked. Would be extremely happy, but seems very unlikely.

FWIW - Scottie has had 1 month ever averaging 23.7ppg (23.8ppg Dec 2023). Has hit 8rpg in a month a number of times. Has only broken 7apg one (7.4apg, Feb 2024)

If you look at his yr to yr stats, it was 15 15, jump to 19 n 19, 1yr of showing what you got, followed by a yr of experimenting, followed by applying those expirments live in game, to another yr of experimenting. I expect him to apply the things he practiced/learned last yr this season.

Scottie Barnes is going to have the ball in his hands more than IQ or RJ / Barnes is not going to be 4th on the pecking order in terms of usg or touches, that would be bad team development

I would like to see him cut back on the bad shots, focus in on protecting the rim as a roamer, and get back to being a terror on the offensive glass. Would be nice to see 3+ stocks per game, 9+ Rebounds, and mid 30's from 3. If he can do all those things he will impact winning in the best way possible.

All that would mean the team is healthy, and Ingram has taken over duties as an ISO scorer when the game slows down + end of shot-clock scenarios.

If he goes back to focusing on what he is best at, I think the FG% could skyrocket. Have him getting more putbacks than last year and only shooting wide open set 3's. More chances to attack closeouts because the ball isn't always in his hands. I could see him going for 21 or 22 per game on good efficiency with this playstyle.

Will be interesting to see if he can find mismatches in the post now that we have Ingram. Likely the best forward defender will guard Ingram, so Scottie should have some openings he didn't have last year. Sort of like how efficient Pascal was when Kawhi was here.

A lot of Scotties efficiency is going to come down to how the team meshes. IQ needs to learn how to make peoples lives easier, because right now all he does is pass Jak the ball out of the pick and roll. If Scottie and Ingram mesh well, that's a scary duo for other teams to defend at the forward spots.

don't care about him scoring.

i want to see another step when it comes to his passing and defense. he can be all-nba first team defense if he focuses more on that end of the court.

let BI/IQ/Jak handle the offense.

17/10/8 is my hope

We’ve been down this road this before, Scottie’s development thus far has produced results every 2 years. Everyone counted him out after his disappointing 2nd season and then he made a notable jump in year 3. What I’m projecting is in line with that jump.
