Shai is still a young player but with an NBA ring and FMVP, is he deserving of that title over Nash and his body of work?

I voted incorrectly. Nash is more impactful. He led the charge for Canada for a decade +. Shai is the better overall player.

Nash still more impactful but that's only because SGA's legacy is just starting. He's already the better player, just needs longevity.

Shai will lead Team Canada for many years to come and over his span will be the best ever, if not already.. both awesome.

Question should be , how many posters here have actually seen Nash Play

This generation is going to make SGA the face of Canada basketball. Nash will be someone only my generation and before celebrates.

He has accomplished more in his young career than Nash ....Nash was a great player but Shai is a legit top 3 player in the league maybe top 2 after this run...

I would see the argument for Shai (arguably a better career already), but Nash is still more “impactful” to me.

When people think “Canada basketball” I think they’ll still think of Nash first… for now.

I don’t love the phrasing of the question. I think Shai has established himself as the best Canadian baller ever. As great as Nash was, Shai is just better.

That said, Shai’s full “impact” won’t be felt or noticed for years. Until then, Nash will remain the most impactful.

As impactful as both Shai and Nash have been, the most impactful baller on Canadian basketball remains VC.

Impact wise, it’s debatable now. But in 10-15 years it will clearly be sga

I think in terms of peak right now, you have to give it to Shai, he just one of the most dominant seasons in NBA history.

Nash has a slight edge just because of longevity, but in another 2-3 years Shai will be above him and likely enter the top 20 of all-time conversation.

Nash was not even born in Canada.

Nash (and D'Antoni) changed the way the game is played. The pace of today's NBA is a direct result of that team, which Nash's play style made possible. Shai is definitely a more talented scorer and may have a better career, but it is hard to see him transforming the league.

That happened before this title. There have been 7 different champions in 7 straight year since the Raptors broke the seal.
