Imagine if.....

We had traded for Paul George as Kahwi wanted as he wanted to play with him. Kawhi is a shell of himself and George might be done. We would be so bad, All our eggs in one basket. Basically the clippers. OKC is going to be a dynasty. I also wanted to, but I wasn't looking at the future. I didn't think SGA would be this good. Just throwing it out.

Well it would have been Siakam + Vanvleet + 4 picks, might have also included Lowry and Westbrook.
I would have made the deal just to call Kawhi’s bluff/control the situation. I’m assuming he would have still found a way to the Clippers, but we’d have SGA and 4 Clippers picks instead of whatever we ended up with.

I think he means we aquire PG, then Kawhi leaves, and then we trade PG to Clippers

Always felt we coulda made that trade work but he wanted to be in LA

Apparently Westbrook was going to be coming here as well.....would've been interesting at least
If PG and Kawhi didn't have any health problems I don't think it would be that bad

We could’ve made the PG deal then flipped him to LA if Kawhi said he wanted to go there and for George to join him.

The more interesting what if is trading Fred/Ibaka/OG to Minny for Butler at the start of the year. I think they take it over the Philly package.
That's eventually Lowry/Butler/Kawhi/Siakam/Gasol with Norm and Green off the bench.
I think he stays with Butler emerging in those playoffs.

Trade for George then trade him to Clippers for SGA if Kawhi ends up leaving. Doesn’t make a lot of sense but fun to think about
