A
They took the BPAs with outlier skills. CMB is a defensive force and has a clear X Factor skill in shooting.
Alijah is an athletic freak with NBA ready defense and he can shoot.
Poeltl / Mogbo / Chomche
Barnes / CMB / Lawson (2W)
Ingram / Agbaji / Walter / Battle
Barrett / Dick / Martin (2W)
IQ / Shead / UDFA
I'm guessing this is the way for next season. I am hoping Chomche can give us decent minutes. A year of development is more than most teams would give.
Mogbo / Barnes / CMB would be an interesting line up. They could be good against a bigger team. Skill is the most important part of the NBA.

They went after a specific type of player and really seemed to alter the identity of the team. We went from feeling like a pretty soft squad to having Dawgs all over
I give it a B+
I would give higher but they specifically said they wanted to add a big via draft to the developmental pipeline and they failed to do so

Am I crazy for thinking JKW can play back up point with Scottie on the floor? We saw a little bit of it during the season. Hes not a point guard, but he has shown the ability to guard both guard positions. I think our line up is unconventional, but we have multiple players who can handle and pass the ball who are not point guards (RJ, BI, Scottie, CMB, even Mogbo).
IQ/JKW/Shead
RJ/Ochai/Martin
BI/Battle
Scottie/CMB
Poeltl/Mogbo

F. 2 years of rebuilding and we didn't land a high upside young offensive talent. Now the roster needs a trade or 2 to improve. Easier said then done.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

they did not say this
bobby going into the draft said they can fill the center spot through other means so they will draft BPA

I actually think they got a really nice player. The fit is just rough though.

Bobby said "they would like to add a big" in the draft. He said it during the interview with Will lou...I'm not saying they didn't change their mind but thats what he said

I think I'd bring Barrett off the bench, and start Martin for the defense and the fact that he doesn't need the ball to impact the game.

I like the CMB pick.
I wanted a center in the 2nd round.
So I gave a B.

Re: Post Draft Poll: Grade the Raptors Draft
B. Really would of liked if they drafted some sort of center with a late 1st or got a earlier second.
Sure they can find a backup in FA and we have UC in development but it's definitely still a issue.
See if they are able to address some roster balance in FA.

G- for no Giannis.
But for real....we took BPA which is what 80% of RGM board has wanted every draft.
Suddenly there is a vocal crowd that wants to draft for "fit"? lol.
Wild guess, probably a similar crowd that poo-poo'd the pick of Gradey Dick for "fit".

Julius Randle with elite defense is pretty strong upside. CMB is also further along in shooting and was a more efficient college scorer.
I can understand ppl wanting an athletic Danny Green (Carter Bryant), Eddy Curry (Queen), or a three point shooting Gobert (Maluach), but they are all further away from their upside than CMB is from his.

The more I dig in the more I like our picks. They’re both 2 ways players and I think they both has some untapped potential offensively.
