Haven’t seen a post about this yet so I figured I’d get one going.
Tournament started today. Canada leads China by 13 at halftime.

Maxime Myer has impreased. 7'1". Mobile.
Lots of promising young big men coming up the pipes. Canada has neve had this kind of size in the program.
Wow. This team has three 7 footers on it. Did Rioux get any playing time?

Rioux started but was unremarkable.

Game 1 of the tournament is almost not worth watching anymore. You know it's going to be a slop-fest lol
Some of those guys have 0 business being on that floor, some of the worst shooting I've ever seen

I understand the famous last name but Olajuwon is now 0/13 from the field, 0/10 from 3, and just keeps hucking awful contested 3s... He can ride the bench now
Loved the post fades from Ahrens

Ahrens and Jordan Charles were both fantastic in the 2nd half vs Slovenia. Great comeback victory.

Olajuwon on the court still has to be trolling
Someone forced him onto the roster and the coach is proving a point by letting him huck, right? Right?!?!?

Nice win today vs Mali after losing to Germany the other day. We play the USA next in the quarterfinals.
Efeosa Oliogu is probably our most consistent player. Love his aggression attacking the rim. It seems every game he makes a highlight dunk. If he can get his 3 ball more consistent at Butler, I think he’s a pro.

Canada in the Quarterfinals vs the USA right now, Tristan Beckford looking really good and keeping the Canadians in it

Ooof
Putting the ball in Oliogu's hands in crunch time was a decision...

Yah, some real interesting rotation decisions in this game for sure. All in all closer than I thought it would be, they played well in the second half but just couldn't close it out.
Was impressed by Beckford and thought they should have given the ball to Charles every possession down the stretch, he was probably the only one I trusted to make solid decisions with the ball

Canadian point guard really impressed me with his handle/quickness and passing/vision. Where ia he going to school?
edit: Seems Jordan Charles is only entering his senior high school season.

Was impressed by both point guards today, Charles and Nyorha. Great effort overall by Canada. Too bad we couldn’t get the upset. The free throw disparity was gross.
Olivier Rioux… I just don’t see it. I’m kinda over the experiment.
I’m missing Hair Canada’s analysis this tournament. Hope everything is alright with him.
