Why does Lowry want to spend another year on a potential lottery team?

I guess he wants to play another year... Was almost certain he was going to retire. Maybe he's lining up a assistant coaching job with the 76ers?

Either way, I expect him to still sign a 1 day contract with the Raps next year to announce his retirement and get his jersey in the rafters.

It's his hometown and his parents/family are probably quite old and would benefit from his, his wife's, and his sons's constant presence. Kyle Lowry has the rizz of a dutiful son who loves and respects his mother and cares about serving her!!!

At 39 years old, he probably just wants to keep playing. He’s one a ‘ship and Philly is his hometown (TO is his second home).

Wouldn’t you be ok making a few more million finishing it up in your hometown?

if masai was still here, i could've seen him joining the coaching staff in 2026...but not now.

Some players are good coaches some aren't. We don't know how Lowry would be as a coach.

Could be. I think he is the type of person to rally up the team. Possibly good motivator, I think. But sometimes being like that, if overdone/ too aggressive, could put players off.

Certainly worth trying as assistant coach.

I wanted him as 3rd string, would have been way more impactful than Temple.

I doubt it will ever happen, but I would love him as an assistant coach

Maybe if the assface Pelley didnt fire Masai, there might have been some convos to have Lowry retire as a Raptor
Google "Hind Rajab"
Total Killed by Israel = 50,000+
Israel kills a child every 45 minutes and ban aid workers from bringing in baby formula
Total being starved by Israel = 500,000 -1,000,000

Why not just hire Lowry as the president above Bobby

Maybe if the Sixers are out of the playoff hunt by the trade deadline, they can trade him to us/buy him out so he can play a few games in our jersey before retiring.

Agree; can see him help Barnes, Shead, and IQ. Never understood our love for Temple as a player.

I think its just literally someone who comes to work and doesn't **** around. Need someone older and whos been in the league just to lead as and example.

DeMar said when he came to the Raptors it was all vets so all he would do is workout since that's what they did. Imagine having someone like Gilbert Arenas being the older role model for the younger players on the team. Gonna get a bunch of Nick Youngs and Javale Mcgees, wasted potential.

See, I was hoping Lowry would take over Temple's role. Maybe next year.
