So Lillard is going to make an additional $42 million for blowing out his achilles. Beyond that, gets to go 'home'.

At $14M a year, I don't think both him and the team cared much either way. Shouldn't matter if intention is to retire there and might as well at this point.

Hope it works out. REALLY grinds Milwaukee, I guess, but Lillard solving things with the owner and ending his career a Blazer is nice.

So...in the end...the Blazers end up with both Toumani Camara, Jrue Holiday AND Dame????? LOL...safe to say we know who won this trade.

The fact that the media is up our ass for bad contract but they trade for Jrue, have Grant under contract and now have Lillard with a torn Achilles for 3 years @14 per blows my mind.

This is his year to come prove him self as a starting PG. If not he will backup Dame next year. Dames old and Scoot will be able to be their starter after his rookie deal is done.

The "nice story" aspect of this will probably protect them from most criticism, but this is an insane move lol.
I don't care enough to go check their board (which may not be representative anyway), but I bet their fans are happy. Buys the FO/ownership some goodwill while they figure other things out.
