Could see this coming a mile away. Would rather use whatever scrap time he would give on Chomche's development.

Never understood why we brought him back in the first place. Never saw any potential in this guy. I think he's Europe bound at this point.

It is an obvious move and I'm thankful for it but I do wonder if perhaps, just perhaps, a move is coming because he didn't have a guarantee date coming up. We are allowed to carry 21 guys if I am not mistaken and now with Castleton being waived we are at 19 so I don't believe he was even standing in the way of signing another exhibit 10 deal. Probably we just wanted to cut him loose cause he sucks and this is nothing.

There were two reasons that were going to cause me to tune out the 2025-26 season:
1) Colin castleton
2) Dwane Casey
1 is resolved. Praying 2 doesn’t occur.

You were going to tune out of a full season because of a 16th/17th player in the rotation?

Yes. The disdain is that strong.

Maybe someone can explain it but I never understood why we kept him over Orlando Robinson. The only thing that impressed me about Castleton was that he had an unexpectedly good handle running the break.

Agreed. As much as Robinson isn't a world beater by any means, he can at least be a serviceable third string center. Castleton isn't even a 15th man.

That’s it. That is all my Raptor angst at this moment in time.
I’m excited to see this season. Not expecting a contender but should be extremely competitive and a playoff team. I’m hyped.
Also want to see what Bobby does next. He’s auditioning for top job afterall.

Pretty easy to infer why: Orlando Robinson probably didn't want to accept a deal where he got $0 guaranteed, and Castleton was willing to accept that.
We also couldn't have offered Orlando a 2-way deal at the time, because Castleton was signed after the deadline to sign players to 2-way deals.

That is pretty good. Two points of angst. One was not even guaranteed so was guaranteed to be gone and now is and the other is the very hypothetical appointment of Casey as a figurehead and having to here him say the word ‘huge’ a dozen times a press conference. For me it is free throw shooting. Ever since the Diar DeRozan game, I am triggered by missed free throws.
