Raptors sign Olivier Sarr to exhibit 10 contract

. The Toronto Raptors are filling out their camp roster.
The team has signed French centre Olivier Sarr, the team announced Friday.
Sportsnet's Blake Murphy reported that the deal is an Exhibit 10 contract.
An Exhibit 10 contract will allow Sarr to participate in Raptors training camp and net him an elevated G League salary if he is waived and joins the Raptors 905.
The seven-foot big registered career-low averages of 2.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.5 blocks with the Oklahoma City Thunder last season.
Sarr, 24, has career averages of 4.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.6 blocks during his three years with the Thunder, but has seen his playing time dwindle each season.
The Niort, France, native will be facing an uphill battle for a roster spot, slotting in behind traditional bigs Jakob Poeltl and Sandro Mamukelashvili and small-ball options Jonathan Mogbo and Collin Murray-Boyles on the depth chart.

Guy is a stretch big; wonder why he never made it to an actual NBA roster.

I think they misread the name. It's not Alex Sarr...just Olivier.
Just like how they thought they were signing Jaden McDaniels but all we got was Jalen McDaniels

All of these Exhibit 10s are extreme long shots to make the team. The Yuta Watanabe/Jamison Battle path to stealing someone else's 2-way spot starts with consistently standing out and impressing the team right from signing their Exhibit 10s, which Yuta and Battle both did when they first signed with the Raptors.
Chucky Hepburn's 2-way spot should be there for the stealing, but there are no Yutas or Battles to steal it from him in this year's Exhibit 10 crop. Omoruyi and Degenhart were behind Castleton in the summer league rotation who was eventually cut.
Sarr and Roddy will probably be like the Kevin Obanor/Kennedy Chandler Exhibit 10s from last offseason, where they don't appear in summer league and at the end of training camp are signed and waived on the same day for the sole purpose of being assigned to the 905.

Hepburn's 2-way is definitely up for grabs IMO. Nothing he did during the summer league impressed me. I rather take my chances on some bigs.

We signed his younger brother Alex to the 905 a few season ago. Kid didn't really do much though.
