Yahoo is reporting that the Raptors and Bulls are rumored to be looking a potential swap of RJ for Williams and Carter

Having heard Williams' name come up multiple times in the past with many people seemingly interested, how do you feel about this deal?

There was time when lots of people would have rolled the dice on him myself included...personally I think the ship has sailed for Pat, I dont see him becoming anything more than a decent role player. That being said, he could still be useful for us while also helping clear the logjam. Is it worth giving up RJ, who a lot of people want gone just for roster balancing purposes, or should they aim higher?

Please no. There are few players in the league I want on my team less than Pat Williams. He's worse at EVERYTHING compared to RJ, and would take minutes from CMB too. I have no idea why Jevon Carter is in the league, so that's whatever.

I could have some interest in a swap for Giddey though, if he's willing to split the difference and sign for $25m ish or less. Not as interested at $25-30m.

Mark Morales-Smith of SI.com recently put together a mock trade that would land the Bulls a potential star on the wing amid their rebuilding effort.

Here's Morales-Smith's proposed trade:

Bulls receive: RJ Barrett

Raptors receive: Patrick Williams, Jevon Carter, first-round pick

Apparently it includes a 1st round pick which you may have forgotten to mention. And it's just a mock trade by a SI.com writer, so it's not really based in any actual rumours.

That said, depending on the pick protection and year...that makes it a BIT more interesting. Bulls suck. But I'm guessing it's probably like POR's 2026 lottery protected 1st which I'm not interested in. Bulls own all their own picks so I'd be tempted at either their 26 or 27 1st rounders, at most top 3 protected. If they insist on it being POR's pick, I'd need an additional pick swap or a couple seconds at the very least.

I might even throw in Ochai for Giddey.

Pat Williams is maddening to watch. He'll make a jaw-dropping play every now and then just to make you wonder why he isn't an All-Star, and then he'll disappear for most of the game. I want no part of him on the Raptors.

That would be a great trade. PWills value can also be rehabbed. He's better than his stats show.

The problem with Williams is, who's he playing in front of.

He's Joey Graham with a longer leash and admittedly a better 3pt shot.

This rumor is from before the draft. The proposal was RJ for Williams, Carter and the 12th pick which became Essengue.
