Kawhi played a huge role in 1 season (60 reg season games + chip).. But looking at everything that’s happened since that iconic title run, is he really a bigger Raptors legend than Air Canada?

Yes, Vince had some controversial moments during his time in Toronto, but nothing quite on the level of the alleged issues surrounding Kawhi and his camp. Plus, VC has spent years as an ambassador for both the city and the organization.

So, who do you think holds the bigger Raptors legacy: Kawhi or VC?

a really tough one. VC made us relevant. the inspiration for a generation of Canadian ballers. greatest dunk contest performance ever was done with TORONTO on his chest. but he left in the worst way.

really depends what you value more, the championship or the influence.

You see Vince in raptor jersey every all star break, but the kawhi shot and championship trophy being lifted means more

Always see how vince made us "relevant" to support arguments for him being some sort of raptors legend

Let me ask you, how "relevant" was this franchise the year after Vince left compared to the year after Kawhi left?

Kawhi is the answer.

I still think it’s Vince. It’s that “who comes to mind when you think of the Toronto Raptors?” test - I still think most people would say Vince Carter (even if Lowry is our GROAT).

If we could only keep one player’s history, I’d keep Kawhi’s, but fortunately we don’t have to do that. For this reason, I totally get why some people would say Kawhi.

I’ll just go with the one of the two who embraces being a Raptors legend.

Kawhi is a legend alone for the game 4 vs Philly performance. Without that one man show we would have been eliminated the second round in 2019.

Kawhi was here for a short time, but it was our best time.

Vince made a bigger impact over a longer period of time. Made the world really pay attention to the Raptors for the first time in our history.

Pick and choose which one matters more.

Good question. I voted Vince, based on his longer term impact on the Raptors franchise. However, Kawhi with the memorable shot and incredible playoff performance delivered a championship to Toronto. I’d be inclined to vote both as equal, with a slight edge to Vince.

I remember when this commercial came out.. good old limewire/kazaa days. Ironically, VC was traded to Joe Budden's Nets not too long afterwards.

I put Kawhi up there, right after Lowry. It’s basically Lowry, then Kawhi, big drop, then Derozan followed by Vince.

That 2019 run was special, he gave us his all and I’m grateful for that. Sixers series we had absolutely nothing going for us except him. He was hobbling around in that Bucks series as well and still kept pushing his limit. Forever a legend for us.

Siakam gets overlooked by a lot of people.

In terms of resume - I think he has the most impressive one.

Vince set the basketball culture in Canada. Before Vince it was 90% hockey maybe more.
