This feels very Pratchett. "It's a million-to-one chance; it's GOT to work!"

I feel like Barnes always struggles somewhat vs the Size of Allen and Mobley (maybe that’s changed but from memory that’s what it feels like). This will be tough if he has one of those low scoring games he tends to sprinkle in.

I believe, that no Canadian will even notice that a Basketball game is going on.

Only have a chance if we can keep the rebounding margin reasonable

Hmmm. Might actually be a close game after all... if true.

With only 17 percent of the population watching the games, I would say most aren't... too interested in baseball... me included.

Yeah I tried getting into it during this run, but baseballs just not for me.

Hopefully we can hold them under 130pts without Mitchell/Allen

Man I can't remember a time when I've been this disinterested in basketball. For some reason the product on the court (not just the Raptors) just isn't interesting to me right now.

The lapses and lack of effort is the problem for me. We've watched some terrible Raptors teams go out and compete. This ain't it.

I think overall nba pushed offence way too much
No defence is played or rewarded especially in regular season
Load management got way out of hand so you never know when star players are playing
Effort isn’t there
No real rivalries anymore
Reffing is so blatant now it’s horrible it’s semi WWE at times
Now all the gambling isssues. The players are losing their minds
LeBron and his take talents to Miami started the downfall and now you have a semi competitive league where everyone is buddy buddy jacking up threes and losing dunks and the athletic drives we loved

I've been feeling the same way, not sure why. It's been slipping for a few seasons. But at the same time, the playoff product has improved. I don't think I've ever enjoyed the playoffs as much as I did last summer.

Which is crazy since Allen played all 82 games last year. Must be nice to have a healthy center.

I feel the same way. It's not "basketball" though. It's the NBA. The product is terrible. They can't figure out how to manage games with a good balance of offense and defense. Too many whistles. Too much bias as well........it just makes it frustrating to watch.

I bet if Olympic basketball was going on (with FIBA rules & refs), you would find it exciting again. More competitive.

I am lucky that my son plays, so I get excitement from basketball in other ways.

I also try to attend non NBA basketball events. It helps give me perspective on the game of basketball. It also gives me perspective on the NBA. What it is & what it isn't.

CEBL, NCAA, Team Canada.....even Canadian University ball. I think watching these gamea grounds you a bit. You get to see some highly competitive games where players are leaving it all on the court for the pure love of the game. No entitled millionaires. Just guys playing basketball because they love competing & playing hard.

Yeah. Too many games look like.pickup games. No physicality. No competitive fire. Kills the vibe. That's not the way competitive sports are supposed to look..

I guess if a ref blows the whistle every time you try to compete & play defense, eventually you are going to become complacent & go with the flow. Play pickup ball if that's what they want.

I also think the leadership in the NBA is at an all time low. Lebron made the league soft. I miss the MJ's, Kobe's, KG's, Rodman's, Artest's, Oakley's & Lambeer's of the league. Guys who wanted to take your head off every night. It made the league much more interesting ane entertaining.

There is certainly a level of complacency that didn't exist before. It may partly be a generational thing. I grew up in an era where it was normal to see fist fights in the schoolyard every day. It was just seen as "boys being boys".
