First game back after a successful road trip can be a trap game. But, the Hornets are trash so that helps our cause. Put them away early and move on.

Should be a win, let's see if they can stay focused.

If it's not a close game it doesn't get loud. If you go to live games you'll see that's almost always the case here in Toronto.

4 of the next 5 games are against the bottom feeders of the east. If we manage to win against philly, we could go 5-0 the next strech.

I feel like the Hornets are one of those teams that historically have our number for whatever reason (even their Bobcat days). They are young and have nothing to lose; Raptors need to be careful.

Gerald Henderson?!

And remember that Lamb game winner over Siakam.

They need to shut down Lamelo and Kon and exert dominance and cruise to a victory.

We are finally moving up the power rankings:

NBA.com has at #12.

https://www.nba.com/news/power-rankings-2025-26-week-5

#12 Toronto Raptors
Last Week:16↑
Record: 8-5

OffRtg: 118.2 (6) DefRtg: 113.4 (13) NetRtg: +4.8 (7) Pace: 102.0 (12)

The Raptors have won seven of their last eight games and are 2-0 in Cleveland after winning a rest-advantage game there (with their best offensive performance of the season) on Thursday.

Three takeaways

The Raptors have had some slow starts, trailing by at least nine points in the first quarter of all three of their games last week, including two against the Nets and Pacers. Overall, their starting lineup has been outscored by 1.3 points per 100 possessions (second worst among the eight lineups that have played at least 100 minutes), having allowed 121 points on 92 first-quarter possessions (132 per 100).
But they have the league’s second-ranked bench, with players like Sandro Mamukelashvili and Jamal Shead providing good minutes. The Raptors have been outscored in 282 total minutes with both Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes on the floor, but are plus-15 per 100 in 289 minutes with one on the floor without the other. The defense has allowed just 96.7 per 100 in Barnes’ 140 minutes without Ingram.
Immanuel Quickley had three straight games of scoring more than 20 points, shooting 20-for-30 over the Raptors’ wins in Brooklyn and Cleveland. He continues to take more than half of his shots from 3-point range, but is also shooting a career-best 60% in the paint.
Coming up: The Raptors have a great opportunity to build on this 8-5 start, with five of their next seven games coming against the bottom four teams in the East (the Hornets, Wizards, Nets and Pacers). Their one loss in this 7-1 stretch was in Philadelphia, and they’ll be back there on Wednesday.

Week 5: vs. CHA, @ PHI, vs. WAS*, vs. BKN

New York Times has us at #9:

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6814323/2025/11/17/nba-power-rankings-pistons-thunder-lakers/

9. Toronto Raptors (8-5)
Last ranking: 16
In the last week: W at BRK, W at CLE, W at IND
Offensive rating: 118.2 (6th place)
Defensive rating: 113.4 (13th place)

Most notable injury: C Jakob Poeltl (back)

The Raptors have been among the healthiest teams in the league. Jakob Poeltl has missed four games this season because of his back, and Toronto split those games. But Poeltl is healthy now, and Toronto has received 141 minutes out of the foursome of Poeltl, Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett, and Immanuel Quickley. Those four played only 140 minutes together all of last season, and obviously Brandon Ingram is playing with those, though Toronto’s bench is still where the Raptors have been at their best this season.

Must be depressing being a Hornets fan. Last time they made the playoffs was in 2015-2016 season almost ten years ago. The last time they even won a playoffs series was in 2001- 2002 that is extremely disappointing. What franchise would be worse to be a fan of the hornets, kings or pelicans?

i think hes been good. in reality, if he gets 30 playing our system thats great, but it should really just be a natural thing. if im an opponent, a team with 3-4 20pt scorers in any given game has to be way harder to gameplan for that a team with a 30 point scorer.

but ye, would be nice to see him go off haha.
