Chris Bosh and Jose Calderon

or

Chris Paul and David West

I like CP and DW.

CP is a real difference maker and fills every stat line. West is under rated.

Because CP is a superstar to me, I'd have to go with CP and West. He runs the point amazingly. I don't care much for West, but CP >>> Jose.

Paul can drop 30 and 10 any night. West can drop 30 and 10.

Bosh can drop 30 and 10. Calderon...can't break the 20 point barrier.

You've got two great players and one great player and one good player. If Calderon wants to be a top NBA guard he needs to take it to the next level. I'm happy with the way his progressing and if he continues to work hard he'll get there.

Gotta go with CP3 and West. Paul is the best player of the 4, and West is not that much worse than Bosh (worse 1 on 1 player, but has a better jumper).

I have to go with Bosh and Calderon...mainly due to the fact that Calderon is a couple of shades below CP however West is far below Bosh...the fact that we're even comparing 2 starters vs 1 starter and a bench player is showing you just how good this duo of Bosh and Calderon are.

I am a big Bosh fan but I do not think the difference between West and Bosh is a sbig as u make it out to be. West is a very good player.

What makes you feel that Bosh is far superior?

Bong - I'm not trying to discredit West's game I believe that the difference between Bosh and West is bigger than between CP and JC.

I think Bosh is simply more polished than West on pretty much everything. (as broad a comment I can make :))

honestly, this is a no brainer....
CP3 plus anyone would be a better duo than jose and bosh let alone a budding star like david west...

Calderon is not just a shade below Paul. Calderon is a role player, who makes very safe/smart decisions, but is not exceptionally skilled, and can never take over and dominate a game. Chris Paul is an absolute super-star who regularly dominates games.
Also, West is not "far below" Bosh. Their rebounding is similar, West has a much better jumper and a better post-game, but Bosh is obviously superior when it comes to blowing by his defender with his great first step. I will take Bosh over West any day of the week, but I feel that the difference between Paul and Calderon is quite a bit bigger than the difference between Bosh and West.

Edit: also, not to be overly mean, but this seems like a very vague comment from someone who has simply never really watched David West play:

Bosh and West play very different games. West is a good catch and shoot player, and likes to shoot the 3. Bosh almost never shoots the 3 and always holds the ball for at least a second or two before shooting or driving. Also, down low West is largely a post player, Bosh likes to face up and drive. They are very different players - Bosh is not at all a more polished version of West.

Chris Paul is becoming the best point in the league, real fast. By next year I think he will have eclipsed Kidd and Nash for best numbers, and likely the best record. Paul is no joke.

Pretty easy to choose when you watched the last raptors game.

You gotta go with CP3 and D West, even though CB and Calderon had good games!

To each their own, cause I would argue that the reason we don't see Calderon doing the same things that CP is doing is that it is not what WE ask him to do nor NEED him to do. He can breakdown and turn the corner on practically EVERY player in this league, yet he CHOOSES not to as that is NOT what we need from him.

Bosh is a more polished player in every sense of the word...he can post up, drive, shoot the three (if needed), and FT % through the roof, he passes when needed, and get's to the line at an astonishing rate.

West from what I see does a lot of similar things to Bosh except he shoots more threes, and from what they do Bosh is better at it!

EDIT: and for the record I didn't say that Bosh was a polished version of West, I said that Bosh is a more polished player than West

How is this a fair comparision when our backup PG is up against Chris Paul?

How about this; which do you prefer:

CP3 - West - Pargo
TJ - CB4 - Jose

This is awesome on so many levels.

So if one of this teams issues, as espoused by the Smitch recently, was breaking teams down and getting to the rim, why isn't Jose doing it more?

seeing as how that was quoted in today's papers it's safe to say we didn't ask that of him until recently
