NEWS REPORT:
At some point soon, the Raptors are going to find themselves down early in a game; they will be missing shots and committing turnovers and playing lax defence.
The Air Canada Centre fans will grow increasingly disgruntled and there will be the odd boo cascading from the stands.

The Raps are 7-2 (the two losses being BOS and PHO) at home since starting 1-4... Which tells me we are playing well at home as of late.

This interview just aired on RapsTV.
The quote is slightly out of context, he was just answering a question and not whinning about the fans.
More in line with: Even at home we can't alwasy expect to get a jump on teams.

I'll only boo if I see DMART in the first quarter.
Wait, I'll also boo if I see him in the second, third, or fourth quarters.

The crowd has been pretty disappointing this year compared to last year so far, but the Raptors haven't been playing amazingly well either so it's somewhat understandable.

I really wanted to rip Sam on this but his quote does seem to be out of context with the rest of the article. That is, the article claims that sometimes the Raps will play lax defense (which is a boo-able offense IMO) but Sam's quote seems to say don't boo if they are hustling the entire 48 minutes, which should imply no lax defense.

A lot of stories in Metro feed from the Toronto Star, which is also owned by Torstar.
It's York articles that are a bannable offence.

Oh, I didn't realise they published anything but York articles. My bad.

TO fans are fickle . . .and do boo pretty easily. I find it kind of embarrassing to see them getting booed at home. That kind of thing should be reserved for terrible performances and getting totally blown out, or if your home team is the Knicks . . . not just a below average game.
Its not like Booing is gonna make the players go "Holy ****, this whole time I thought the crowd liked it when we played bad . . . better start trying"

even if this was taken out of context it's disgraceful. When, in the history of this franchise, which was named after a dinosaur briefly made popular in a blockbuster film, which used to wear purple pajamas as uniforms, which once employed Vincent Lamar Carter and which, for years, played their home games in a baseball stadium, have the fans NOT been supportive?
i'm starting to get sick of the raps' excuses. 17-15 isn't turd, but, man get some wins. the blazers won 13 in a row! they just shut up and played. when are we gonna do that?
